Hi Janneh, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Depending on the source, you will find statistics about how small businesses fail or cease operations get higher the longer they are in operation. Most statistics identify business mentality, accounting, and Human Resources issues as the main reasons for these closures. So when I was thinking through the opening of PRIMUS, it was to counteract these pain points of business owners. Giving them a team of business professionals that will take over all of these essential business tasks and provide business owners more time to concentrate on their core mission., reducing the probability of closure.Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the CEO and Founder of PRIMUS Business Management. PRIMUS specializes in four essential business subjects; Accounting, Administrative Services, Business Strategy, and Human Resources. We understand that by focusing on these areas, we can provide business owners with the resources they need to manage and grow their business. The thing that sets up apart from our competitors is that we can help business owners take a 360-degree view of their business. Leveraging these areas will help develop strategies that are focused on your People, Processes, and Profitability. We are here today because we focus on supporting and educating our clients on what is essential. Staying focused on your vision is not always easy; as internal and external challenges happen, it is tempting to adjust your vision and do things that are not in line with the values you have created. In the long run, however, it will change your business. So staying focused was essential to PRIMUS’ success and longevity. We want the world to understand that PRIMUS’ goal is to support small businesses. PRIMUS knows that there is a connection between healthy, reliable companies and the growth and prosperity of the communities they serve. So our goal is to ensure that these businesses succeed.Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This question is difficult now that we are in the middle of a Pandemic. I live miles away from the places I frequented prior to the Pandemic. Sadly at this point I am not sure if many of my favorite restaurants are still open. Places like Sugarcane, a Caribbean restaurant in downtown Brooklyn NY or Rice to Riches a dessert restaurant in SOHO in New York City.The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My entire family has a part to play in my success, mentality, and drive. My Mother and Grandmother instilled in my ethics and fairness first mentality. My siblings, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and Friends are all part of who I am as a person. I believe in the concept that you are a collection of all the people in your life, past and present. But for where I am right now, that shoutout goes to Adeola Emdin, my Wife, business partner, and right arm. She keeps me motivated, laughing, and competitive. She is a business consultant and CEO in her own right but always has time to be a sounding board for me.
