We had the good fortune of connecting with JaNae Brielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JaNae, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I say never give up! You might have to go back to the drawing board. But continue to do what you love to do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m the owner of BlushinB Factory LLC. A Factory of beauty. I specialize in wedding glam because I want my art to be apart of something special. When I decided that I wanted to take the art of makeup serious. I wanted to become an Esthetician to learn more about the skin. My goal was to take care of the skin underneath and also providing a beautiful glam look. I’m most proud of the artist that I’m growing to be. It took me a long time to find my place. By place I mean my signature look. My goal is to just enhance your beauty. It took a lot of long days in the salon, fashion shows,photo shoots and networking to get here. Also not giving up. I’m a self taught makeup artist, so I’m never done learning and educating myself. I want to be a well rounded artist. Nothing worth having is easy but I knew I had to keep going. You get better and better each face you do. Lessons I’ve learned along the way is to never compare and show them who you are. Patience is key.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Anytime I have friends visit I have to take them to eat sushi and tacos. So Blue Sushi sake Grill is one of my favorite places and Cityview Tacos. We are definitely hanging out in Uptown and Deep Ellum. Pick a improve comedy show to go to. I also love museums other then that we love to try new places.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends are definitely the ones that push me the most. I also look up to other artist in my field. Desiree Phillips, Saisha Beecham, Alexandra Butler and Alaina (Colordujour) just to name a few.
