Hi Jamie, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My name is Jamie Finley Lopez. I’m from Waco, Texas, and moved to DFW in 2008. My parents were hard workers and community leaders. They taught me the importance of giving back to others and being active in my community. Growing up in a household where service and leadership were valued definitely shaped who I am today. It instilled in me a sense of responsibility and a desire to make a positive impact on the world around me. Additionally, being from a small town like Waco taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Overall, my background and upbringing have played a significant role in shaping my values, beliefs, and actions as an adult.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My story is defiantly one for the books! I’m a dynamic entrepreneur and visionary leader in multiple industries. As the founder and CEO of Empower Her Mind, I’m dedicated to empowering women and fostering personal growth and development. Through this organization, we provide mentorship, resources, and support to help women unleash their full potential and achieve their goals.

In addition to my work with Empower Her Mind, Im also a successful co-owner of First Choice Flooring and Renovations LLC. With my keen eye for design and my commitment to quality, I have played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and reputation for excellence. Under my leadership, First Choice Flooring and Renovations LLC has become a trusted name in the industry and DFW, providing top-notch flooring and renovation services to countless satisfied clients.

Furthermore, I’m co-owner of First Choice Custom Homes LLC, a company that specializes in building custom homes tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each client. With her expertise in project management and her passion for creating dream homes, I have been instrumental in delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a relentless drive for success, an unwavering commitment to my clients, and a deep passion for empowering others. My dedication, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to turn ideas into reality have earned me recognition and respect in the business community.

When im not focused on my professional endeavors, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, traveling to new destinations, and exploring her creative side through various artistic pursuits. I’m a firm believer in the power of lifelong learning and continuously seeks new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had friend visiting I would defiantly take them to Ft worth. Its something about Ft worth that is so laid back and historical. There is always something to do! I have a 10 year old son. And one thing we like to do as family is ride the bike trails around the trinity river. Visit the ft worth zoo! And of course all of the local food establishments. The parks are beautiful and the Dallas Arboretum always has the most beautiful flowers. Downtown Dallas is also one of my favs. All the historical landmarks and museums are always best to go and see. Its truly an adventure when you come to Dallas. You never know who your going to meet or what adventure you will in bark on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my late mother Frances Finley who was community leader, instilling in me the values of service and leadership. I also want to recognize my father, family and friends for their constant support and encouragement. As well as My amazing Partner and Business partner Ricky Lopez. He’s my best fiend and biggest supporter!

A special shoutout to my president and business partner Sally Briseno. She is a strong leader, a passionate advocate for women’s rights, and a dedicated mentor to those around her. Sally’s determination and drive inspire us all to strive for greatness and make a positive impact in the world. She truly embodies the spirit of empowerment and serves as a shining example of what it means to be a phenomenal woman. She’s a girls girl and a phenomenal President and Business Partner.
