We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaleesa B and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaleesa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Acquiring relevant education and skills has been the most important factor for me. I found freelancing was definitely feasible and a lead opportunity ;but license and continuing education courses opened up more doors for me to work on sets and movie premieres and shows.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a serial entrepreneur. I’m a MUA, hairstylist, nail tech, travel agent, real estate agent, custom apparel designer,CPA advisor, credit consultant; and I also own a work from home call center for single mothers. It started with just being the parent who had to stay at home the most with my children and also being sick at the time, I started researching on how to build my own businesses from the bottom up. I started with my credit and worked my way on up. It hasn’t been easy it’s had its ups and down but here I am 8 years total being an entrepreneur. I’ve learned to find a higher earning niche stick to it and once it falls in to play strategize for my next business and funding so I can build residual with the next business also and so on. I learned I’m not a business partner type of person I’m more of an independent business ran alone but definitely open to networking to build with others. My brand is be you self love is key and if in need I can definitely help brand the inner you!! Starting anything in life you have to start with discipline/research/goal setting/time management/optimism/brainstorming. Work at your pace no one else’s. The journey is definitely a long one, may lose a few friends or your precious me time but it’s worth it in the end.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend and I are alike cooked home food is the best food but a vibe could always be had Other than that some fun places I’ve been too out in DFW is Perot Museum, SER steaks and Spirits, Perry’s steakhouse and Grill. N Sweet tooth Hotel Flagship very fun places to check out in the DFW.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe all my success and gratitude to GOD and my family. My children suffered the most but they never let me lose sight on our mission. Now we are in a place of peace and love and new beginnings.
