We had the good fortune of connecting with Jai Robles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jai, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent of 3 girls. Who I try to raise as strong, independent, understanding women, the most important thing I’ve done to impact them was showing them that no matter how late in life you start your dreams can always come true. Since I was young I just wanted to feed people. Make people smile and full and I’m in my late 40’s😁I’m doing it. Showing them to be determined, passionate and humbled about what you really want to do in life and apply those foundations to all aspects of their daily life. To believe in yourself and that any goal or dream you set for yourself will manifest. If you put in the work your rewards always be greater. So I believe that teaching them earlier in life having them apply to real life situations is not only important but one of the best lesson I have taught my girls.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Jaiztratsneats is home cooking and baking to bring nostalgic comfort feeling to any atmosphere. I’m most proud of be recognized for this article and excited to be apart of it. Getting to where I am today was challenging for me because I didn’t believe in myself like others around me did, but I knew I had skills and a eye for things so I just had to stop worrying about what others thought outside of my circle and challenge myself to be more confident and take my own advise when I’m helping friends or family. Lessons I’ve learned can’t do everything by yourself, accept the help. Be confident always. Always be open to learn and always listen. What I want the world to know about me and my brand Jaiztreatsneats is that we are a all black female owned business that is just trying to bring back simple foods, nostalgic bake goods with simplic decor for that laid back house party vibe, always a family affair.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m old school so Oaklawn area. Visiting Cedar springs tab house. Lucky’s Cafe for very good home cooked meals. Bar hoping is always best for us so between Taboo and Double D’s we will have an awesome time. Exciting places would be Bishop Arts district, Clide Warren park,, Aquarium, Frisco area.
