We had the good fortune of connecting with Jae’R Tha Geek and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jae’R, why did you pursue a creative career?
I was always a creative person so it was kind of a natural pursuit. I was the kid that was in his room writing poems or stories or drawing my own comic books & begging my parents for new albums so that I listen to them all day. Music & arts was always apart of my life in some form so I always knew I’d end up doing something creatively.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what separates my music is the passion. Raw passion & emotion. Good or bad. I’ve been making music for a while now and throughout the years I’ve always prided myself on being able to tap into different emotions and display them without fear. I think it’s what makes people relate to my music. If I’m sad, you’ll know. If I’m angry, you’ll know. I might not even say it, but you can feel it. I can give you the cool, braggadocios, “money, clothes, etc.” typical rap music, but people relate to what’s real. Nothing more real than emotions. We feel them everyday.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to Solomon & MSMG for helping me out at a young age. & ANYONE who’s ever believed in anything I’ve ever done, even in the slightest, thank you.
