We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackie Carl and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was the perfect formula of these elements:

-Success leaves clues – I look for clues for success in everything all the time. I experienced incredible success before finding a coach, but I found joy in my journey and next-level momentum only after finding the right coach for me. I loved everything about the coaching experience as a client and clearly saw myself making a massive impact by offering my version of coaching to entrepreneurs who are ready to receive coaching and invest in themselves to experience the same joy, clarity, harmony, and momentum I know is possible for them as well.
-As a top leader in my company, I found myself fielding calls frequently from others in the company asking for business advice and leadership support. I noticed the frequency of this trend increased to the point I had no choice but to see these requests for help as clues that my impact could be greater if I stepped out beyond where I was as a sales leader to serve more.
-I have always found myself in leadership roles – in corporate, in non-profit, and in volunteer opportunities. I have always had a passion for leading and serving.

And lastly, but probably the number #1 reason I chose to go this direction:
-I am fascinated by entrepreneurs and stories of success. Reading books of gritty entrepreneurs and listening to approachable CEOs on Podcasts (How I Built This with Guy Raz is my fave) share their stories of overcoming challenge after challenge is my brain candy. I cannot study entrepreneurship enough. The varying and specialized formula for success per entrepreneur absolutely fascinates me and studying them constantly has instilled a deep passion for serving fellow entrepreneurs. It can be a hard and lonely journey, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s where coaching comes in.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an open book. After rising to the top of my company leadership from a place of scarcity, I hit massive burnout and dealt with horrible imposter syndrome. My business felt not only frustrating but awful and icky to me. I knew what I built was not sustainable because I was totally frustrated with my role, yet I loved so many amazing components of my business, too. I felt alone, heartbroken, and lost. I started working with different coaches; each one patiently worked with me and leveled me up a little, but once I found the right one for me, every facet of my life changed in the most incredible way. My husband, family, team and friends even noticed the shift in me!

I have worked through comparison, imposter syndrome, lack of time management, lack of belief, two major seasons of burnout, fear, and pretty much any other challenge an entrepreneur could face in the early years. I work on myself so that I can best serve my family, team, and clients so they have the best version of me to equip them to navigate these and other challenges, too.

I have found myself a number of times coaching my brilliant, kind, perfectionist, highly competitive, and athletic son as well. He is 10 and has pretty powerful emotional swings that I don’t think I could effectively navigate without my coaching toolkit. I have coached him about the importance of journaling and on how to do it, how to control his thoughts, and how to work through his frustrations in a positive, constructive way. I absolutely believe that our mom/son coaching sessions will equip him to handle the disappointments life will continue to throw at him. He is a natural leader and I want to make sure his mindset and leadership toolkit is solid so that he can lead with greatness as he gets older.

Lastly and most importantly, I fully believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and my savior and he has blessed me with the talents to thrive in my role as a wife, mother, leader, and coach. I prayed for my clients before announcing that I officially started my coaching business and before I made it public, I already had two paid clients! I stay close to Him so he can guide my thoughts and my words so that I can glorify Him in everything I do. He has given me a heart for service, has placed the right players in my life to guide me, and will continue to bless others through me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d book a day of appointments at the heavenly Joule Spa and just let the day melt away. For daytime dining, I’d love to lunch anywhere in the Bishop Arts area with a patio and hit some local boutiques such as DLM Supply for some shopping before hitting Emporium Pies for an afternoon snack. For dinner, it would be a toss-up between Hudson House in Lakewood for their Blue and Gold martini and shrimp cocktail or the Honor Bar Macho salad. I am a pretty casual person so I enjoy restaurants that have a good ambiance, a good martini, and chill vibes.

I love being outside so we could walk the Katy Trail and/or hit the Dallas Arboretum if the weather is nice. If my friend is a tennis player, I’d love to take her to the courts at Lakewood Country Club and kick her butt.

To my core though, I am a master shopper. I love a good deal on unique items so we’d have to carve out some time for my favorite store in all of Dallas, Clothes Circuit. We should definitely hit the shops in Snider Plaza and my new fave boutique, Keepsake on Henderson. Of course, it wouldn’t be a complete trip to Dallas without a visit to Northpark Mall. Just the experience of being in that mall is reason enough to come to Dallas!

After all of that activity, this introverted homebody would need a few days back at home to recharge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Megan Weisheipl 100% deserves a shoutout for my journey into coaching. She is not only a certified life coach, but she’s also an author releasing her first book, the Selfish Hour, soon! She is incredibly approachable, highly gifted, and has a straightforward approach to helping me structure my business in a way that not only serves me but meaningfully and noticeably helps me better serve my family, team, and clients as well. She elevates and inspires me with every interaction with polished confidence and professionalism. She is the perfect coach for me and I’m beyond grateful to have her as a guiding light in my life.

The family within the network marketing company that I am so proud to be a part of! In this space, I have been able to develop and sharpen my coaching toolkit and this community of incredible professionals have guided me towards and celebrated my decision to launch my coaching career.

And of course, my husband, John Carl, who not only challenges me in a healthy way, but is such an incredible cheerleader and thought leader for me through my journey. I cannot fully express how incredibly grateful I am for his support, especially when I know it has been hard to watch me go through the painful seasons of growth along the way.
