We had the good fortune of connecting with Izzy Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Izzy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My journey began with a passion for fashion and a deep love for my hometown, Dallas. I initially started designing hats as a hobby, creating unique pieces that reflected the city’s culture and spirit. The positive response from friends and family inspired me to take my designs to a broader audience.

In March 2024, I launched Double Z Collective with a focus on creating high-quality, stylish hats. However, I’m looking to expand beyond just hats and have been exploring other fashion and lifestyle products. Our growth has been fueled by word-of-mouth, community support, and a commitment to innovation and quality.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Double Z Collective, we’re passionate about crafting unique, high-quality fashion and lifestyle products that celebrate the culture and spirit of Dallas. Though we started with hats, we’re excited to expand our collection to include a variety of fashion items and accessories. Our designs often feature iconic symbols that resonate deeply with the local community.

What I’m most proud of is how our brand has become a symbol of local pride, allowing people to express their connection to the city. What truly sets us apart is our deep-rooted bond with Dallas and our dedication to reflecting its vibrant culture through our products.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start our day with a visit to a local coffee shop. Lala Land Kind Cafe, Halcyon, and White Rhino are some of my favorite spots for coffee. After that, we’d do some shopping at NorthPark Center to grab a new outfit to go with my Double Z Collective hat ;). In the evening, depending on our mood, we’d either go out for a drink in Lower Greenville or party all night in Deep Ellum.
