We had the good fortune of connecting with Izzy Pena and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Izzy, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
There are so many things that make me happy but at the end of the day, my family makes me the happiest of all. They are my biggest support system and they constantly push me to be a better version of myself each and every day. I have so much fun with them. I am truly so blessed to have the relationship that I have with my family.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Dancing is something that I have always loved to do since I was about four years old it started off as a hobby and an afterschool thing, and then overtime. It just became more of a creative outlet for me and a way for me to express myself. So now being able to be on stage with Grupo Pression it’s definitely one of my favorite things to do because I have a huge passion for dancing  so it’s just amazing to be able to share a stage with a group of people that are not only talented, but who also genuinely love what they do. — I definitely feed off of the crowds energy. It’s always so much fun getting to perform for people who are super hyped and ready to just sing along with the guys and dance along with us and overall just have a great time. Dancing definitely hasn’t always been easy whether you’re dancing, tap, jazz, contemporary, cumbia or whatever style of dance it may be,  it’s just like anything else it takes dedication and a whole lot of practice but I am so proud of how far I’ve come and  I’m so thankful that Grupo Pression has given me the platform to be able to do what I love and let me share that experience with them .  Now as far as hosting a TV show. It was definitely something I never thought of doing before however I am so blessed that I was given this opportunity to work with Valavisiontv to host “Pura Calidad with Izzy” a music video show where I bring some of the latest music videos, as well as some throwback videos all with Latino artists as well as some interviews. And again I am so thankful because Valavisiontv has definitely given me that platform to share my love for all types of music from Reggaeton to cumbia to country etc but especially the Tejano which is one my favorites because I grew up, listening tejano music overall working with Valavisiontv has definitely been such a rewarding experience and it was something that was very new to me, so just being able to see the growth from when we shot the pilot to now I am so proud of how far I’ve come. I’m definitely still learning however I can’t wait to see what the future holds for valavisiontv. So if there’s anyone out there who has an already check us out, you can find us on Roku as well as Valavisiontv.com and you can stream it for free.

By being able to dance and host a show I get to do what I love and on top of that I get to work with such amazing people so it just makes dancing and hosting a TV. Show so much fun and and incredibly rewarding. I have fun with what I do, I love meeting new people and a huge part of both of these things is getting to meet new people so it’s super exciting for me! I’ve grown so much within the last five years and for that I’m extremely thankful.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people who play apart in my success but to name a few my mom, grandparents, Grupo Pression and Valavisiontv. I have learned so much from each person and I am so thankful for all the relationships I have with each and everyone of them.
