We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabel Moya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isabel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always loved fashion, but i just never really new how to pursue that passion. My best friend and I would always talk about eventually opening up a boutique when we were financially ready, but that never seemed to happen.

It was several life events and people that influenced me, but it was actually one conversation I had with a really good friend of mine that pushed me to take the leap. I will forever be grateful to her.

So I wrote down a plan on paper and did a bunch of research and note taking. I still carry that journal with me everywhere. Lol
I set aside a small amount of money and just took the leap!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It’s been really late nights for sure. I still work a full time job and come home and grind on my boutique.

It’s a lot of trial and error choosing vendors and designers, but I’ve diff learned from it.

My boutique is very eclectic. I tell everyone it’s like shopping in my closet. I also believe in being body positive and one thing i like to highlight is i don’t charge extra for plus size pieces. You will pay the same for a small – 3X.

I try my best to use small woman owned business as my vendors, I also love artesanal pieces so you will see quite a few sprinkled in my boutique.

I want people to know that fashion is fun and doesn’t always have to be the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There’s so many places here in Dallas!!! Hmmm so

We would diff have to go to the DMA and hang out in Klyde Warren.

Rangers game for sure!

Bishops arts for brunch and shopping.

Deep Ellum for dinner and drinks.

Trinity groves for more shopping and food lol

My Tribe, Isa’s tribe I have the best group of people surrounding me that motivate and encourage me!

People don’t know what a great influence they can be in someone’s life without even trying.
