We had the good fortune of connecting with Inara Sachwani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Inara, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe, risk is very important for growth, it creates discomfort that provokes change, whether in life or career. It’s a way to push boundaries and explore uncharted territory. If everything were safe and predictable, there’d be little room for innovation or personal development.

I imagine for a lot of people, taking risks can feel daunting, but it also opens up opportunities for new experiences and learning. In my “life,” I don’t take risks in the traditional sense, but I’m designed to help people navigate risk and uncertainty whether it’s making career decisions, investing, or just trying something new.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The journey to where I am today in business has been anything but easy, but it has shaped me into who I am. My success is a result of a combination of experience, hard work, determination, and the willingness to take risks. Along the way, I was pushed to explore parts of myself I didn’t even know existed. Every challenge I faced forced me to dig deeper, to learn more, and to grow stronger.

The toughest moments didn’t defeat me. Instead, they taught me invaluable lessons. Every downfall felt like a setback, but I came to understand that it wasn’t going backwards—it was preparing me for my next breakthrough. Overcoming obstacles wasn’t about avoiding them but about facing them head-on, showing up every single day, and never letting anything stop me.

One of the hardest truths I had to face is that the path to success can get lonely. Taking risks and making bold moves towards something so many people might not understand or believe in can isolate you. But in that loneliness, I discovered resilience and clarity. I learned that the most important relationship you have is with yourself and your vision.

Through this journey, I’ve come to realize how crucial it is to stay determined and ambitious, even when others may not see your vision. To everyone out there chasing their dreams: stay the course. Keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles. And I want my brand, Thoughts and Days, to reflect that same determination and creativity. I want it to be an expression of your creativity—where your wildest ideas can come to life and your most unforgettable memories are made. It’s a brand that embraces those frozen moments, those snapshots of life, and celebrates the moments that last a lifetime.

This journey has been about so much more than business. It’s about perseverance, self-belief, and creating something that speaks to the world in a way only you can. And that’s the heart of what Thoughts and Days represents.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were in town, I’d take them to experience the best of what makes Dallas so unique and unforgettable. First, we’d head over to Lake Lewisville to catch the sunrise and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Afterward, we’d grab breakfast at Black Walnut Café in Colleyville before heading to downtown for a leisurely walk. We’d wander around Victory Park by the American Airlines Center, taking in the vibrant atmosphere. A visit to the Reunion Tower would be next, where we’d soak in the breathtaking skyline views. We’d also rent bikes to explore the city from a different perspective.

I’d also look up some local events or comedy shows happening nearby to add some extra fun to the day. Later, we could make our way to Grapevine for a wine tasting experience, then stroll through the Bishop Arts District to check out some incredible local art. One day, we’d head to the Oak Cliff Assembly, home to Thoughts and Days, where we could meet up with coworkers and take some pictures at the studio.

For the rest of the time, we’d just go with the flow, seeing where the day takes us and making spontaneous memories that highlight the essence of Dallas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge shoutout to my incredible father, whose unwavering determination and hard work have always inspired me. Watching you sacrifice everything to chase your dreams has shaped my entire outlook on life. Your commitment to never giving up, no matter how tough the road got, taught me the true power of perseverance.

Because of your success, I’ve learned to believe in myself and develop a mindset that blocks out the noise from the outside world. You’ve shown me that with relentless effort and the courage to push through obstacles, anything is possible.

What makes your journey even more remarkable is how you’ve impacted so many others. Your success wasn’t just about achieving your own dreams; it was about lifting others up along the way, motivating those around you to chase their own aspirations and reach new heights. You’ve been a mentor, a guide, and a source of strength for so many, and for that, I’m endlessly proud.

Thank you, Dad, for being a living example of what it means to work hard, stay true to your vision, and inspire everyone in your orbit to do the same.
