We had the good fortune of connecting with Holli Riddle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Holli, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was raised in the Colleyville-Grapevine area of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where my single father owned and operated a small business. From a young age, I helped him with office tasks and customer interactions—experiences that instilled in me a strong work ethic, a deep appreciation for dedication, and a love for problem-solving.

Early in my career, I worked in executive support, team support, and project management. Being part of high-performing teams that emphasized collaboration fostered in me a deep sense of responsibility and empathy. Through networking, I connected with local Dallas organizers, started shadowing them on jobs, and quickly realized that organizing was my passion. This led me to launch my side hustle.

When COVID hit, I found myself at home with my five-month-old son, navigating the challenges of losing my village while raising a little one in an uncertain world. I leaned heavily on my mom community, finding new ways to spread joy and find fulfillment. When the time came to return to corporate work, I made the bold decision to walk away and fully commit to building my business—helping families and businesses with my gift.

Now, I have the freedom to create my own schedule, be the best mom to my son, and make a meaningful impact in my community through my work.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Organize DFW, I specialize in personalized organizing solutions that simplify my clients’ lives, allowing them to focus on what truly matters. I tailor my services to each client’s unique needs, guided by empathy, patience, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Recently, my friend and organizing partner, Scarlett from Whitespace Methods, and I launched “The Honest Edit” podcast. Our goal is to debunk the “Instagram perfect” narrative by having honest conversations about life’s messes. You can find our episodes on various platforms.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in East Dallas, the coolest part of the city, I’d start the week at my favorite coffee spot, LDU on Garland Road, followed by a walk around the lake. Meals would be a highlight, featuring incredible spots like Sister Restaurant, Via Triozzi, Wabi House, Hello Dumpling, Fortune House Chinese Cuisine, Sevan G & G Café, and Mot Hai Ba. Happy hour at Cosmos would be a must, and we’d grab biscuits and coffee at Goodfriend Package. For activities, we’d take a walking tour of the Fair Grounds to admire the architecture while getting some exercise, enjoy a yoga session at YAM on Walnut Hill & Audelia, catch a movie at Alamo Drafthouse, and, of course, play some pickleball at Casa Linda Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Reflecting on my journey, I owe a significant part of my personal and professional growth to the insights and encouragement from various sources. A standout influence has been the We Can Do Hard Things podcast, hosted by Glennon Doyle, her wife Abby Wambach, and her sister Amanda Doyle. Their authenticity and vulnerability in discussing the complexities of life and addressing challenges such as love, loss, caregiving, personal struggles, and anxiety have profoundly shaped my approach to personal and professional challenges.

In my work, organizing extends beyond arranging “stuff.” It’s about supporting clients through significant life transitions—be it coping with the loss of a parent and managing their belongings or assisting busy mothers balancing work and family life. I frequently work with new families, merging households and helping them find space for all the baby shower gifts. This process involves not just creating organizing systems but also coaching clients to navigate life’s hurdles with empathy and resilience.
