We had the good fortune of connecting with Hicham Hamadi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hicham, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Other people and businesses in the industry inspire me. I love to learn new things and enjoy how this industry is constantly changing and growing. The feeling of achievement I get when I have learned a new technique and applied it for our clients pumps me up so that I continually want to push and grow to provide the best experience for our clients events.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been in the industry for 20 plus years, starting as a DJ and learning from some of the best in the industry from all over which has allowed me to be able to provide all the services we have. We pride ourself on being a one stop entertainment company. When we started Helix Unlimited Events, my wife and I saw an opportunity to provide a service you don’t see often. We wanted to be an event company that you could come to us with an idea or a date and we can take that and run with it. We are able to provide all the services needed to make your event successful. We provide everything from entertainment, decorations, lighting, event planning, party rentals, and more. We started our company original in California so when we moved to Texas in 2019, we had to start over. My original plan included learning the area and see how events are run here as every area has different things they like to focus on. When we finally decided to open Helix here move forward COVID hit which wasn’t exactly the best time to start an event entertainment business. However, through it all we pushed and with a lot of hard work while maintaining our focus on our clients, we have grown so much more than we had in California. We are constantly expanding and adding to what we can provide and we look forward to continue to grow and expand over the years to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m very much a family man so most of my experiences in the area are geared towards kids. The Fort Worth Stockyards is always a fun filled day for my family, from riding horses, doing the mechanical bull, and watching the cattle drive there is so much to do and everyone has a great time. While there are 2 great zoos in Dallas and Fort Worth our family loves the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. It’s a great way to experience a variety of animals up close and personal. I am also big on learning and expanding knowledge. The Perot Museum in Dallas is an interactive hands-on museum that is also inside for those hot days in Texas. The Star is a crowd favorite, from the different restaurants to choose from, to the tour is so much fun and
There are so many good food places so it’s hard to choose. I love that you can find so many different options and all the different ethnicities food options. The area has so many Mediterranean restaurants which I just love. Some of my favorite restaurants are Terra Mediterranean in Plano, Seven Doors in The Colony, Mexican Bar Company in Plano and EG Steak in Frisco. I’m also a big pastry and sweats person. A few of my favorite include Gigi’s cupcakes, Twinkle Donuts, Annie’s Sweets & Treats and you can’t go wrong with any of the ice cream or frozen yogurt shops around.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Kat, has been the biggest support and part of the reason why Helix Unlimited Events is so successful. When I had the idea of starting my own entertainment business, she was hesitant at first but then supported me completely Kat had no experience with this industry but that didn’t stop her from learning and supporting me every step of the way. She is my voice of reason but she also pushes me to grow and expand the company. She is the woman behind the scenes that makes sure everything runs smoothly and I couldn’t be where I am today without her.
