We had the good fortune of connecting with Hassaan Arien and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hassaan, how do you think about risk?
I firmly believe, to succeed in real estate, you have to take risks. As we all know, “high risk… high reward, low-risk low reward” is one of the basic principles of finance and business. Since being a real estate agent and running a business go hand in hand I think this principle relates not only to my career but also to my life. When I first became an agent I was taking a risk by choosing real estate over going to school. Not knowing if I would be successful was a scary thought. Fast forward a little over a year and I think it was the best decision I ever made. I learned to be more confident and spontaneous, Ive met so many people who help me grow everyday, and lastly I’m able to do the thing I love most, help people. Without taking that risk I would’ve never gotten here.

What should our readers know about your business?
When working with clients I like to be personable and I take my transactions very seriously. For many of my clients when they go through these transactions it’s a big step for them. I want them to know that I’m more than just their realtor but rather a friend, someone they can trust and let guide. I’m proud of all the transactions I’ve done, knowing my clients enjoy their homes, create memories, and living life.

No doubt I’ve come a long way from where I first started and no, it wasn’t easy. Many times I questioned if real estate was the correct path but luckily I had a team to keep me focused. Today I feel as if I just started, I have so many goals to accomplish.

People have this misconception that agents don’t do much for the buyer or seller. However, I was one of those people before becoming an agent myself. I can assure you we have our work cut out. Sometimes I spend all 7 days of the week working and attending to my client’s needs. This may be the biggest lesson I’ve ever learned.

As I mentioned before, I’m someone who likes to be personable and accessible. Often times issues come up in real estate transactions, I’m someone people can reach out to and feel confident they’ll get the guidance they’re looking for. I aim to always do business with integrity. I fight for my clients when it comes to negotiations, if they want the house best believe we’re going to get it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Dallas, I’d start by taking my friend downtown where we’d visit the At&t discovery district and eat at one of the many restaurants nearby. Next, we’d spend time looking at different forms of art from all around the world at the Dallas Museum of arts. Take a stroll through victory park since it’s close. I’d also take my friend to the star at Frisco and show them around where I work. Get diner at the Shops at Legacy and end the night looking at the Dallas skyline from the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe the leading cause for my success in real estate has to do with my brokerage. When I first started real estate, I interviewed many brokerages and found that Monument Realty was the one for me. The atmosphere, the people, the location were all driving factors but nothing interested me more than their training. I learned how to be an agent in the real world while also getting mentorship from top producers who have been in the industry for many years.
