We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was breaking free from the limits of a corporate world. I had this vision for a place that clients can come to receive the services they want without having to over pay for a less than quality service. My motto has always been to under charge and over deliver. My prices are fair and competitive, but it’s the quality and customer service my clients receive that sets everything apart. It’s so important for every single person to leave feeling their best.
It was also important use products of the highest quality but also not limit clients to products. I carry multiple different types of wax and products to allow options to help find the best option for clients.
Creating a good environment was also very important. To have a supportive, creative, fun environment makes the world of difference for employees and clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hairless by Hannah was started to provide high quality services for affordable prices and to create a safe inclusive place for everyone. I worked really hard to find the right waxes to carry and even created my own line of non toxic, paraben free, sulfate free, and cruelty free, organic skincare products(body butters, sugar scrubs, soaps, yoni bars, lip balms, lightening creams, etc) as I felt it was important to provide a place for people to be able to get those products as it can be hard to find good healthy products now days. HxH grew so quickly in just 2.5 years that I had to hire another waxer and I am currently looking for a more permanent location with more space to continue to grow as we are struggling to keep up with the volume of people. I started offering Permanent makeup as many women expressed the need for easier makeup routines. I’ve been doing Pmu for about 2.5 years and hold over 25 certifications in different techniques. I recently was trained in scar camouflage as well as areola tattooing for breast cancer survivors and women that have had mastectomys as I am passionate about giving back to those who have survived cancer as they have been through enough and deserve to feel good about themselves again. I recently shaved my head in support of my father who is battling cancer and all those going through it to stand in solidarity and empower people to be comfortable in their own skin.
I think every person deserves to have a low maintenance routine and feel their best at all times. It’s most important to me that everyone feel comfortable in their own skin and feel the best most confident version of themselves, and it’s the services I provide that help people to feel that way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to places such as the harbor in rockwall to walk around, eat, shop. I’d take them into uptown in Dallas to go to brunch and shopping. If it were in October that they were visiting I would definitely take them to the state fair of texas as that has been a staple in my life every year since I can remember. North park mall is another great place to go shopping and walk around.
The Katy trail is a great place to go for a walk and go get some beers at the local places near the trail.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The first person I need to give credit to is God. He has carried me through this journey every step of the way and without him I would not be here. My husband is someone whom I owe a lot of credit to because if he hadn’t just said “honey. Open the business. I have a good salary, we’ll be okay if it doesn’t work out” I probably would’ve never felt capable enough. But he believed in me more than I did in myself at the time.
I want to shoutout my old trainer. She hired and trained me originally for a corporate waxing company. I was the regional trainer at that place for a few years and had the honor to work under this woman. She taught me so much of what I know while always prioritizing people and gave me the confidence to jump out on my own.
I also want to give credit to Rob Bailey. Him and his wife own Flag nor fail along with many other things including a YouTube channel and an air bnb business. But I often listen to his music or YouTube videos and he very much instills a mindset of do the work. Everyone’s got something hard going on, so all you can do is either give in or keep grinding. Andy frisella is another one, he owns first phorm and his book 75 hard also gave me the mindset of paying dues. We gotta pay our dues first before we can bask in the luxury.
I’m just in the process of paying my dues right now.
I am beyond thankful for the family and friends in my life that also believe in me.
