Meet Halle McCrory | REALTOR®, Team Lead of Empower Real Estate Group, Real Estate Investor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Halle McCrory and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Halle, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Early in my career, “balance” meant pushing as hard as possible to build momentum, often working long hours and prioritizing growth over everything else. Over time, I’ve learned that true balance isn’t about strict separation but about intentional integration—building a business that aligns with the life I want to live, not one that competes with it.
Now, I think about balance as alignment between priorities, energy, and purpose. Some seasons require heavier focus on business, while others require deeper focus on personal health or family. Instead of chasing a perfectly equal split, I design my calendar, team structure, and systems to support flexibility while maintaining high performance.
I’ve also noticed that when I’m in good mental health and fully present where I am, I become a magnet for the exact opportunities I want. The right clients, partnerships, and ideas flow more naturally when I’m aligned, proving that balance isn’t a trade-off to success—it’s often the catalyst for it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I run a real estate business focused on helping clients build wealth and aligned lives through buying, selling, and investing in real estate, with a specialty in luxury, new construction, and strategic investments across Dallas and San Angelo. I lead a team under eXp Realty and work closely with builders and investors to identify and create opportunities that align with their long-term goals.
What sets me apart is my combination of sharp strategy, warm connection, and relentless execution. I deeply believe real estate isn’t just about transactions—it’s about empowering people to live the lives they truly want while building generational wealth. My clients and partners know I will handle their business with excellence, treat their goals like my own, and show up with clear, proactive solutions, not excuses.
In 2024, I was honored to be recognized as a Top 250 agent out of all eXp Realty agents in the United States. I’ve also earned eXp’s top production award, the ICON award, four times since joining eXp four years ago, and have sold as many as 96 homes in a single year. These accolades mean a lot to me because they reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I started in real estate with no connections, in a new city, and without a safety net. I had to learn to build trust, market effectively, and deliver results consistently while navigating the emotional roller coaster of entrepreneurship. I learned to view challenges as neutral data, find solutions quickly, and keep moving even when it was uncomfortable.
Some of the most important lessons I’ve learned are:
– Your mindset will make or break your business. Taking care of your mental health and aligning daily habits with your goals is non-negotiable.
– Relationships are everything. Treat people well, and think long-term.
– Systems create freedom. Without operational excellence, growth will overwhelm you.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that you can build a business aligned with your life, not one that competes with it. You can pursue excellence while staying grounded, and you can create wealth while making a positive impact. I want people to see what’s possible, whether they are clients looking to buy or sell, agents who want to grow under mentorship, or builders and investors seeking a strategic partner who truly cares about their outcomes.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit Dallas for a week, I’d want them to experience the vibrant, layered, and fun lifestyle that makes this city feel like home:
Day 1: Arrival & Sunset Drinks
They’d likely stay with me at my house, but if not, Hotel Swexan for a chic home base. Kick off with sunset drinks at Catbird or Mirador followed by dinner at Sister on Greenville for upscale Mediterranean plates.
Day 2: Arts & Culture
Morning walk at Klyde Warren Park with coffee from Foxtrot. Explore the Dallas Museum of Art and Nasher Sculpture Center. Lunch at Leonie on the rooftop of Hotel Swexan for a stylish, light bite with a view, then stroll through Design District galleries. Dinner at Monarch for skyline views and wood-fired Italian.
Day 3: Shopping & Spa Day
Morning luxury shopping at Market and The Conservatory at Highland Park Village, followed by lunch at Honor Bar. After lunch, head to Knox Henderson for shopping at Planet Bardot and LARE Boutique, with matcha lattes at Le Bloom to refuel. Dinner at Mister Charles in Knox for an elevated, vibrant evening.
Day 4: Lake Day
Head out for a lake day at Lake Lewisville, Lake Athens, or Cedar Creek Lake for a fun day of boating, sun, and relaxation with a cooler of snacks and drinks for an easygoing, summer-in-Texas experience.
Day 5: Full Bishop Arts Day
Brunch at Paradiso to start, then spend the day exploring the local shops, art galleries, and colorful streets, grabbing coffee at La Reunion and pie at Emporium Pies. Dinner at Lucia for one of Dallas’s most beloved chef-driven Italian experiences.
Day 6: Fort Worth Day Trip
Head to Fort Worth, visiting The Modern Art Museum and the Stockyards if they’ve never been, followed by dinner at Chumley House with drinks after at Bowie House for a classic-meets-modern Fort Worth experience.
Day 7: Sunday Reset
Start with a Forma Pilates class for a sculpting, energizing workout, followed by brunch at Hudson House or Beverley’s. Spend the afternoon relaxing at my house or the pool, with a low-key evening walk and sunset moment to close out the week.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to eXp Realty for providing the platform that has allowed me to build a business aligned with the life I want, and to Lisa Copeland and Hoss Pratt for their mentorship and leadership that have stretched my vision of what’s possible in real estate and entrepreneurship.
I also want to shout out a couple of other people for their unwavering support and encouragement. My dad has always said, “If excellence is an option, why choose anything else,” and that mindset has become a cornerstone in how I show up for my business, my clients, and my life. My mom showed me that it’s possible to be an amazing mother while also working and being a total badass, and that example has deeply shaped the way I lead and live today. My immediate family and “village” for supporting me through some of the toughest times of my life. A special shoutout goes to my father-in-law, Cole McCrory, who taught me so many of the ins and outs of real estate, especially on the investing side. His wisdom and guidance have shaped how I think about building long-term wealth through real estate. And to Collin, my husband, for keeping me going even in the tough times and believing in me every step of the way. Their faith in me—and the values they’ve instilled—are the foundation of everything I do, and I’m grateful every day to have their love and partnership on this journey.
