We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley Spikes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’m a stay at home mom and I absolutely love planning my kids parties. I had several people tell me that I should start a business for my balloons but I wanted more. My husband and I decided to turn it into an event rental and decor business!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about my business. My journey into party planning began with my son’s first birthday. The joy I found in bringing all the details together sparked a passion that has grown over the past few years. Today, I have a 4-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, and my business has evolved to include not just balloon decorations but also the provision of tables, chairs, event tents, and more!

What sets us apart is the personal touch we bring to each event. As a family-operated business, every job we take on helps support our family’s extracurricular activities, making it a truly personal endeavor. Starting and growing this business was not without its challenges, particularly the initial investment required to expand our services. However, through dedicated marketing efforts and a commitment to quality, we’ve been able to overcome these hurdles.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of perseverance and adapting to new opportunities. What began as a simple idea has grown into a full-fledged party event rental business, and I am incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made.

I want the world to know that when you hire us, you are supporting a family business with a passion for creating memorable events. We strive to make every celebration special, and we are grateful for the support that allows us to do what we love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would bring them to Parker county. It’s where we live and love. A favorite place of ours is Jake’s Burgers. It’s a place for the kids to stretch their legs. It has awesome food and good drinks.
The rodeo in June is always fun to attend in Weatherford. It is the cutting horse capital of the world.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to recognize bee hive bakery. The best cupcakes around!
