We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley Block and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Customer service and integrity are the two most important factors behind the success of Texas Oasis. We strive to ensure that our customers feel heard and can trust our team with their landscape and drainage projects. We do this through authentic communication rather than aggressive sales tactics because we know our work speaks for itself. This also leads into the component of integrity. We do what we say we are going to do and if we make a mistake, we own up to it and fix it. We are honest and transparent through all phases of the project so that clients feel well informed every step of the way. These two factors have built Texas Oasis’s reputation as a dependable, top-notch landscaping company and driven countless references to our business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Texas Oasis apart is our decades of experience in landscape design and drainage. Within our company, there’s a depth of knowledge that only comes from years of hands-on experience. This journey has had its share of ups and downs. My dad, who founded the business, adapted to shifting economic climates, unpredictable weather patterns, and evolving client needs. Now, I’m doing the same, while also looking ahead to anticipate future challenges and prepare for them by strengthening my team and building a strong customer base.

Over the years, I’ve learned that our employees are our greatest asset. I place a huge emphasis on making sure my team has a healthy work-life balance, the proper equipment for the job, and a workplace they truly enjoy coming to every day.

Texas Oasis is a family tradition of excellence, built on care, dedication, and the belief that when our team thrives, our clients do too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, I would tell them to visit in Spring or Fall to avoid the summer heat and still be able to enjoy a walk around White Rock without getting too cold. Then, my next priority would be food. The Dallas dining scene is hard to beat so we would have to go to a few of my favorites: Velvet Taco, Mi Cocina, The Monarch, Cattleack BBQ, and Ida Claire. Then, for activities, I’d recommend a visit to the Dallas Museum of Art, a night in Deep Ellum, shopping in Bishop Arts, and booking a ticket to a Rangers game.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my dad, David Block. Texas Oasis, founded in 1980, was his first baby. He has seen the company through many changes, challenges, and seasons of growth but always with an unwavering commitment to customer service and quality. That dedication built the incredible reputation Texas Oasis still has today and made it possible for me to step in and carry on what he started. His passion and perseverance laid the foundation for everything we are, and without him, none of this would be possible.
