Meet Grayson Micaela | Industry Gal Founder and CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Grayson Micaela and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Grayson, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting Industry Gal was driven by a huge passion for creating a space where women’s voices, stories, and talents could truly shine. Not just women, but anyone who has not felt heard within the arts world. I noticed a gap in the industry for a production company that not only prioritized women’s perspectives but also actively supported and empowered them behind the scenes. My thought process was rooted in building a collaborative, inclusive environment where women could take creative risks, lead projects, and challenge industry norms. As well as be represented by an agency of sorts that had those very morals and values, if production was not their end goal. Industry Gal is about more than just production—it’s about fostering a community that uplifts and amplifies women in every aspect of storytelling. It’s about turning passion into paychecks, but the correct way.
I grew up as a multi-hyphenate artist hailing from DTX. I have always been called to blending devotion to the arts with my passion for the business world in everything that I’ve done. With my extensive background in the entertainment industry, along with ongoing training with mentors and professionals, I have spent my life becoming the most well-rounded I possibly can in every facet. So, translating that into a company that I run was at the top of my list of things to do in 2025. If I’m not studying for some sort of degree, playing a live show somewhere or running my established babysitting empire, I am knee deep in Industry Gal preparation and execution. Because women and minority representation matter. In every field, at every moment, but especially right here and now when art/creation is so needed.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In a world where equality and representation remain vital conversations, Industry Gal stands as a beacon of hope and progress in everything thay we do. That is the foundation of what I have always wanted to do and be known for. Celebrating my own work as a woman, while also allowing other women to have the spotlight in a professional, collaborative environment has always been a dream, so creating a business within the frameworks of that dream overflows my cup. Getting to do everything, from producing my friends/strangers shows, to working with companies big and small on their shows, to representing those artists who aren’t as comfortable with the networking side are all things I get to do through IG.
Whether it’s through fostering leadership, celebrating achievements, or creating opportunities, Industry Gal is dedicated to the efforts in shaping a more inclusive and equitable future. It is never easy starting such an endeavor from the ground up, but the work and the need is much too important to wait for someone else to do it.
Supporting women not only empowers individuals but also enriches communities, businesses, and societies as a whole. From production, to representation, to branding, to sustainability; the importance that women bring to every facet of life cannot be overstated. Their contributions drive innovation, foster inclusivity, and ensure a more balanced and equitable future for all. By championing their roles and perspectives, we create systems that are not only more diverse but also more resilient and impactful, paving the way for more meaningful art on every level, which then leads to more change.
As a brand, Industry Gal is a dynamic concept dedicated to empowering women through the transformative power of the arts. By providing a platform for creative expression, Industry Gal fosters an inclusive community where women can thrive, connect, and elevate each other. Through various artistic endeavors, from visual arts to performance and beyond, the brand aims to break down barriers and challenge societal norms, creating a space where women’s voices and talents shine. Industry Gal is committed to building confidence, nurturing talent, and inspiring women to boldly pursue their passions and dreams in the arts. While also enriching the arts world through services of our own as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh! There are so many places in Dallas to explore and create. A couple of my favorites include Arts Mission Oak Cliff for dancing and creativity. The DMA or the Nasher to get your fill of all sorts of arts education. Klyde Warren Park or Dealey Plaza for a walk around the city without the traffic, and food trucks! It wouldn’t be a Dallas trip without a tour of Deep Elum, where there is music on every corner, every weekend. Or even some shopping and good food in lower Greenville. There are so many places to find food, culture, music and friendly people to make those connections within any industry.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are always so many people that come to mind when I am asked about who helped build me up to where I am now and encouraged me to do the things that I get to do as well as accomplish. A few that come mind are my mom, my friends who believe in me day in and day out, and my fellow creatives that I get to see shine consistently. To my mom, who instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and kindness. To my friends, who have been my cheerleaders and confidants. To my fellow creatives, whose encouragement and perspective have kept me grounded and inspired. Thank you.
Renae, Abigail, Sunny, Tressa, Makayla, Deke… There are too many people to name without leaving someone out, as I am so inspired by the constant creativity and passion I am surrounded by. The collaboration, mentorship, and shared vision I have been given within my network has pushed me to grow and achieve more than I could on my own, and to start initiatives such as Industry Gal. None of this would have been possible without that kind of example in my life.
