We had the good fortune of connecting with Fatima Jalloh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fatima, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Zioso Donuts came to light when my boyfriend and I were talking about how it is difficult to find good gluten-free food options here in Dallas. One day I started experimenting in the kitchen to make the perfect gluten-free donut, and can say with confidence that Zioso Donuts are some of the most delicious in all of Dallas.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a laboratory Specialist for a skincare company and I love/enjoy what I do. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunities that this country (America) has offered me and motivated to reach my goals as an entrepreneur. It wasn’t easy coming from West Africa, going to school’s over here, the language barrier and cultural differences are challenging. But I am happy to be where I am an thankful for each day. Above all this, I’ve learned to work hard and be patient, things will workout at the right time. I want people to know that everything is possible no matter where you come from and your background and if they want to eat something that tastes amazing and also is healthier. They should check out @Ziosodonuts

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I’ll probably take my best friend to Deepellum and Bishop Art for some delicious food and drinks and a great sightseeing.
