Hi Faiza, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea behind my business started with something simple—I was making mousse cups for friends and family gatherings. I loved the creative process of making desserts that looked as good as they tasted. Over time, I realized I wanted to elevate the presentation, so I began setting up styled dessert tables. That’s when I discovered my deeper passion for decor. I found so much joy in designing each element—from florals to props—and bringing a full vision to life. That naturally led me into bigger event setups, where I could combine both my love for desserts and decor to create unforgettable experiences. That’s how Discover with Faiza was born—out of a love for beautiful details and making moments feel truly special

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art lies in creating experiences—turning simple spaces into something beautiful and memorable through thoughtful decor and design. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and the emotion I pour into every setup. Whether it’s a small dessert table or a full event stage, I treat each event like it’s my own, making sure every flower, prop, and color choice reflects the vision and love behind it.

I started with making mousse cups, and what began as a fun way to share desserts slowly evolved into styled dessert tables—and eventually into full event decor setups. It wasn’t a straight path or an easy one. I faced a lot of self-doubt, especially when stepping into bigger setups, but I kept pushing because I genuinely love what I do.

There were late nights, stressful moments, and times I questioned whether I was capable—but I learned to trust myself and take things one event at a time. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth often comes from discomfort. Pushing myself beyond what felt ‘safe’ creatively is what helped me improve and expand my business.

What I want the world to know is that Discover with Faiza is more than just decor—it’s about heart. Every setup is a reflection of passion, creativity, and a desire to help people celebrate their moments in a meaningful way. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend visited, I’d take her to Escape 360 for a relaxing brunch, then head to a Head Spa for some much-needed pampering. For midday coffee, we’d go to La La Land Café, which has the perfect vibe. We’d also explore the city’s creative spots, enjoy a mini road trip, do some shopping for modest fashion, and end the week with a cozy dinner I’d style myself. It’d be a perfect mix of relaxation, creativity, and fun!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give all my love and appreciation to my husband—he’s been my rock throughout this journey. No matter how busy things get or how last-minute an event might be, he’s always there to help, support, and uplift me. From loading the car to helping set up decor to encouraging me when I’m overwhelmed, he never hesitates to step in. He truly believes in me and this dream, and having that kind of support makes all the difference. I’m so grateful to have him by my side through it all
