We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Chisholm and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin, how do you think about risk?
For me risk taking means that there is not yet evidence of the thing/the move/the decision you are wanting to take, therefore it feels risky (sometimes scary, unknown). But, I am such a believer in following your intuition and that means just trusting yourself and having faith in that thing/that move or that decision and just going for it.

So many of my greatest lessons have come on the other side of that leap and I’m so grateful for them all.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I still find it quite hard to sum up myself and what I do in a short bio, but… I am an Artist who has a business/brand based all around Music, Mindset and Magic. I use my daily experiences to creatively express myself through singing, songwriting, storytelling and visuals. For a long time I didn’t do this though.
For a long time I kept all that creativity in. In a way I kept myself in, hidden behind the same stories, same experiences and same habits that were just keeping me that way.

When I decided that was going to change, I began to change. Many things began to change. Meditation has been a huge catalyst In guiding me through this and into the woman I am now, and the way that I show up. I’m so very passionate about sharing the magic in that with others incase it resonates or activates something in someone else too,

A lot of my music is based around embracing yourself, your gifts and listening and trusting that fire that burns so brightly inside.

I believe we are all Artists creating our lives. You have a choice to decide how you want that to look, and then if and when you choose you can bravely move in that direction one step at a time. In my case its through one song at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m new to Dallas so I still have so much more to explore, but for anyone visiting Dallas I highly recommend they come check out the Bishop Arts area. It reminds me of a Country style version of my favourite street in LA, Abbot Kinney. It’s full of cute boutiques, cafes and delicious restaurants. They have markets, lots of different events and live music on the weekends, just a vibe!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
ok, well there are many people, many situations and many experiences I could dedicate my shoutout to, but this one goes to my beautiful parents. Their love and support means the world to me. To know that you have people cheering you on, in all that you do and in all that you are, is just such a blessing. I feel very grateful for them. They are a big motivation to keep going.
