We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Bowlware and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erin, what do you attribute your success to?
Transparency! We can share as much or as little on social media as we want to, and any amount is perfectly valid. For me, I strive to stay as real as possible and I find that people really appreciate content they can relate to.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
On my platform, I share about mental health, chronic illness and self love. A big lesson for me was learning to only work with brands that align with my beliefs. Social media is my main source of income, but I will turn down a brand if I do not believe the product or idea being promoted will be beneficial for my audience.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas holds tons of popular hot spots as well as hidden gems! Start your day grabbing lunch downtown at Velvet Taco, then prepare for a mural scavenger hunt in Deep Ellum!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have found some of my best friends through our local content creation group- Dallas Social Influencers. We are a group of women dedicated to supporting each other both on and offline, and I would not be where I am today without my tribe.
