We had the good fortune of connecting with Erik Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erik, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business stemmed from a combination of factors and experiences. Firstly, my extensive background in the restaurant industry, spanning over two decades, allowed me to accumulate a wealth of knowledge and expertise. As a bartender, I witnessed the aspirations and desires of my fellow bartenders to work private events and establish their own clientele.
Additionally, my entrepreneurial journey was influenced by my previous involvement in the carpet cleaning industry. During that time, I gained valuable skills in lead generation, website building, creative advertising, and social media marketing. These experiences opened my eyes to the potential of leveraging my expertise to create a platform that could connect bartenders with exciting gig opportunities.
The realization that I possessed the knowledge, skills, and network necessary to support other bartenders in their pursuit of private event gigs ignited the idea for Bartenders On Demand. I wanted to provide a platform that would not only facilitate connections between bartenders and event organizers but also empower bartenders to take control of their careers and unlock their full potential.
Ultimately, my thought process was driven by a passion for the industry, a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of bartenders, and a desire to create a mutually beneficial platform that would elevate the bartending profession as a whole.
