Meet Enygel Jones | Fashion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Enygel Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Enygel, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career because I am a free-spirited person. I don’t like being limited or put in a certain box. I like to be free to do what I want. I feel as if, with corporate jobs, you have to work a certain way. Corporate employees’ work has to be completed according to the boss’s standards. Creatives work artistically. When creating a fashion collection, the creativity is endless. You never know where you could draw inspiration from. There is no one way to find a solution to a project. The truth is, all projects are different and require different solutions. I am the type of person who wakes up waiting to see what the day will bring and what I can make of it. Of course, I have guidelines for what I need to do, but the journey is spontaneous. This is why my creative career as a fashion designer chose me! I work better without having my work solutions limited.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a fashion designer. I create clothing pieces. What sets me apart from others is my creativity. I believe we were all uniquely made, so not one person thinks exactly like me. Designs can resemble or share the same color, but the details are what make my designs different. Every design I have made has been creatively created by me; I may draw inspiration from others, but that’s all it is: inspiration. I am most excited about launching my fashion brand. This has always been a dream of mine since I was little, and I can feel myself becoming more prepared each and every day for my brand. I believe I have come this far by staying focused. Like I stated before, this has always been a dream of mine, and I never lost sight of it. It’s not always easy to create something in your mind and then bring it to fruition, but this calling on my life is so strong. I have no choice but to bring it to life. Sometimes I do have negative thoughts or self-doubt about my fashion brand, but that’s how I know this is what I am called to do. The devil will always try to plant those things in your head, especially if he thinks you’re worthy of fulfilling the calling. I overcome self-doubt and negative thoughts by praying, not losing focus, and remembering that God wouldn’t plant this seed in my life if he didn’t think I was worthy. Along the way, I have learned you have to trust the process. You can create the dream, but you have to be willing to trust God for the steps of the journey to get you there. I want the world to know that my brand will be huge, mark my words, and I can’t wait until it’s finished conceiving. I’m working really hard behind the scenes to make this brand develop into something timeless and beautiful. I can’t wait until my dreams become reality. Who knows, maybe we can do a second interview once it happens!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t go out a lot but here are some places in Dallas I would recommend. You should visit Concord Church for a good word. I would recommend Mi Cocina and Chuy’s for great Mexican food. The Ranch has nice steaks cooked to perfection! I would reach out to @sissyzsweetzntreatz on Instagram for bomb desserts! As I stated I don’t go a lot but these are some places I love in Dallas.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I would like to dedicate my shoutout to God for being my anchor. I would like to recognize my family for all the efforts they have made for me . And lastly I would like to shout out myself for working hard and being true to myself. All my hard work is going to pay off soon!
