We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth O’dell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been an entrepreneur for over 10 years now. I have had multiple businesses over the years. I have always had a passion for having my own business. Becoming a real estate agent was always something I wanted to do. All the businesses I had before definitely shaped me to the agent I am today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started my career about 10 years ago. I have had multiple different businesses. From opening oysters on live, to making home decor, to creating a big children’s boutique, to photography professionally, to full time property manager/ Real Estate Agent. It has not been easy to get to where I am now. But I wouldn’t go back to change anything. Something you should know about me is I never give up. I fight and fight till I get where I want to be. I also love to help others. I love to be able to use my platform to help others in some kind of way.

Being a stay at home mommy of 4 I have had challenges of working and raising my kids. My biggest accomplishment is being a mommy. I have become as successful as I am because of my family.

My broker is my Grandmother, Carolyn Northcutt. Our business name is Texas Best Realty which has 65 properties we manage. I continue to build our business with more properties and tenants. Working with investors and tenants every single day. Something that I am very proud of with our management company is that I like to make sure my investors are taken care of. Where they always feel like they are in straight communication with me. Also that tenants feel safe knowing that their property manager is making sure they are taken care of if ever needed. I take pride in making others happy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go fine dine at my favorite restaurant EG steak house in Frisco. Stay at the canvas in Dallas. Then enjoy shopping at the galleria.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out to my husband, Devin O’Dell. He has been by my side through all my struggles I have faced.
