Meet Edgar Ramirez | CEO Equilibrium Coaching Company

We had the good fortune of connecting with Edgar Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Edgar, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Equilibrium Coaching Company has been a deep commitment to purpose-driven service. From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to empower professionals in the field of education to unlock their true potential by fostering a holistic balance between mind, body, and spirit. This clarity of vision has guided every decision and allowed us to build a brand rooted in authenticity, empathy, and meaningful impact.
Another key element has been our unwavering connection to the real challenges that educators face—burnout, emotional fatigue, and the constant pressure to perform. As a former educator myself, I understand those struggles firsthand, and that lived experience has helped us create programs, workshops, and coaching frameworks that truly resonate. We don’t offer generic solutions; we co-create transformative experiences that support both personal growth and professional success.
Finally, I would say that consistency, adaptability, and human connection have been essential. In a constantly changing world, staying grounded in our values while evolving with the needs of our audience has allowed Equilibrium Coaching Company to remain relevant, trusted, and impactful. Success has come not just from what we do, but why and how we do it—with heart, integrity, and a sincere desire to elevate the lives of those we serve.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Equilibrium Coaching Company was born out of both a personal calling and a professional necessity. After more than 25 years working in education, I witnessed firsthand the emotional, physical, and spiritual toll that burnout, stress, and imbalance take on professionals—especially educators. I founded this company with a clear purpose: to provide educators and professionals with the tools they need to reconnect with themselves, overcome internal barriers, and thrive—both personally and professionally.
What sets us apart is our holistic approach. At Equilibrium Coaching Company, we don’t just offer coaching—we offer transformation through the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Our services include one-on-one coaching, conferences, and interactive workshops that combine emotional intelligence, mindfulness, leadership development, and strategic life planning. Every program is designed with intention, empathy, and evidence-based techniques.
I’m most proud of the real impact we’re making. Seeing a teacher rediscover their passion, a school leader find clarity and purpose, or a professional regain their emotional balance—that’s the true reward. Knowing that we’re helping people lead more fulfilled, resilient, and purpose-driven lives is what excites me every day.
But the path to this point has not been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced uncertainty, imposter syndrome, and the fear of stepping into the unknown. Building a brand from the ground up while shifting from a secure career to a visionary endeavor required deep inner work, patience, and trust in the process. I had to become my own first client—applying the same tools I now teach others to break through limiting beliefs and take bold, aligned action.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that clarity doesn’t come before action—it comes through action. Also, building a business isn’t just about services or strategy—it’s about connection. People don’t just invest in what you offer; they invest in who you are and the story you carry.
What I want the world to know is that Equilibrium Coaching Company is more than a business—it’s a movement. A movement to redefine success not as constant achievement or hustle, but as living a life in alignment with your purpose, your values, and your well-being. We are here to remind professionals—especially those who serve others—that they, too, deserve to be whole.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Dallas for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of culture, food, fun, and relaxation—Dallas style. Here’s how I’d plan it:
Day 1: Welcome to Big D!
Brunch at Bread Winners Café in Uptown — charming atmosphere, delicious food, and the perfect kickoff.
Walk and photo ops at Klyde Warren Park — a green space in the heart of the city with food trucks, music, and yoga on the lawn.
Dinner at The Rustic — live music, great Southern eats, and local vibes under the Texas sky.
Day 2: Deep Ellum Vibes
Spend the day exploring Deep Ellum, Dallas’ artsy and edgy neighborhood. Street murals, indie shops, and record stores.
Lunch at Pecan Lodge — arguably the best BBQ in Dallas.
Stop at Emporium Pies for dessert.
End the night at Ruins or Double Wide for fun cocktails and live music.
Day 3: History & Culture
Visit the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza to dive into JFK history.
Head over to Bishop Arts District for unique shops and galleries.
Dinner at Paradiso — stylish and cozy Mediterranean vibes.
Day 4: Recharge & Reflect
Start with a peaceful morning walk at White Rock Lake or a visit to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
Book a spa session or yoga class at King Spa or a local wellness center.
Enjoy a mindful dinner at True Food Kitchen — healthy, seasonal, and soulful.
Day 5: Museums & More
Explore the Dallas Museum of Art and Nasher Sculpture Center.
Lunch at Ellen’s in the West End.
Evening drinks at The Henry rooftop with skyline views.
Day 6: Cowboys & Country
Drive to Fort Worth Stockyards for a true Texas experience — cowboy culture, cattle drives, and live rodeo (if the timing’s right).
Eat at Joe T. Garcia’s for legendary Tex-Mex in a beautiful garden setting.
Return to Dallas and grab a late-night dessert at Sweet Firefly or Milk & Cream.
Day 7: Sunday Funday
Brunch at Sixty Vines in Uptown or Yolk downtown.
Catch a Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, or Stars game if in season, or chill with a picnic at Trinity Groves with a view of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.
Wrap up the trip with dinner at Tei-An, one of the best upscale Japanese restaurants in town, or something fun and casual at Velvet Taco.
Dallas is a city of energy and warmth—with something for every type of traveler. Whether your vibe is arts and culture, food and music, or nature and relaxation, you’ll find it here. And of course, what makes it even better is sharing it with someone you care about.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely. No journey is ever truly solo, and I owe a great deal of gratitude to several people and influences along the way. First and foremost, I want to recognize the dedicated educators—teachers, administrators, and school leaders—who inspired the creation of Equilibrium Coaching Company. Their resilience, passion, and tireless commitment to others motivated me to build something that would pour back into them.
I also want to honor my own mentors and colleagues who, throughout my 25+ years in education, helped me grow not only as a professional but as a human being. Their wisdom and support planted the seeds of leadership and purpose that eventually grew into this company.
On a personal level, I must thank my family for their unconditional encouragement, and for being a constant source of balance and perspective. Entrepreneurship is demanding, but their belief in me has been an anchor.
Finally, I want to give a special shoutout to the thought leaders and authors who have shaped my coaching philosophy—figures like Joe Dispenza, Marian Rojas Estapé, Mario Alonzo Puig, James Clear, among others, whose work around emotional intelligence, self-leadership, and mindfulness continues to influence my own practice.
The success of Equilibrium Coaching Company is the result of many hearts, minds, and hands. I stand on the shoulders of those who believed, guided, and walked alongside me.
