We had the good fortune of connecting with Dulce Luna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dulce, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Throughout my whole life, I have been a workaholic person. With experience, I have realized that nothing is more important than here and now. That means enjoying the moment in the place and with the person you share that time with. It was a time when I lost the beauty of life, overworking and missing time with family and friends. I learned- in a bad way- that work is only that “work.” I must balance my lifestyle because time is full of precious and invaluable moments, and overworking makes you miss that part of life and never return.
We must prioritize the most important in our lives and balance it around that to ensure we attend all unrepeatable special events.

What should our readers know about your business?
My story starts with the crazy idea of sharing my ancient knowledge and wisdom as a part of a family tradition of healers. My family identified me as a Shaman. A shaman is a person who has a particularity of understanding the world you know and the other spiritual world that most of us ignore. This remarkable talent allows me to help my customers in the best manner by guiding them and trying to explain to them why they are sick. Most of the time, the absence of health is the lack of self-knowledge. That is the path I can take to help them better.
My purpose in life is to enlighten those who are looking for my help. My significant pleasure is seeing a person arrive with a disheartened face and seeing them go light and happy.
I would love to help the world, but only some people are open to receiving my gift.
The beginning of my business was so unexpected. I was so happy because I had a paper known as a DBA (Doing Business As) and shared all my enthusiasm with the Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce of Irving.
Currently, I have an exceptional location to inspire relaxation and comfort. My clients love the place. It makes them lose their sense of time and hurry. They lose stress and find peace.
Now, I recognize that if I had thought about everything I had to go through to have a business, I would never have done it. I was so confident that I could make it then, and I did.
All of you who want to be an entrepreneur should get a plan before starting. The plan will save you a lot of time and effort, but even with it, you will only succeed if you are convinced you can make it and never quit, no matter what.
My passion and spirit for nursing others with their health led me to graduate as a Licensed Massage Therapist to understand the body mechanics, biology, pathology, body function, and the different systems to explain to my clients what I do to accomplish their goals by intuition. I am still studying to increase my scientific knowledge.
My work has taught me how to live better. For a long time, I did not embrace my heritage. I did not want it. It is a heavy responsibility. When I see my customers change their lives and increase their hope and faith, everything changes for me. That is my best payment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh my gosh, I have so many places. I need more than one week to see everything I want to show them. I want to take them to all the lakes and different local restaurants rich in flavor and a pleasant environment—lovely places to challenge their abilities, such as escape rooms. Unique places where local vendors offer their products. Pastery places. Wow, there are too many to show!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When you start an adventure to risk your life and start a business, you never believe how hard it is to start and keep a business running. I believe no one is running alone; we all need someone who believes we are crazy but supports our craziness. My mother has been that person since the beginning and never has hesitated to support me.
I have had a lot of help during my journey, such as a chamber of commerce, SBA, SCORE, Bank of America, clients, and friends who have supported me with their knowledge and encouragement.
