We had the good fortune of connecting with Dreika Reagor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dreika, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from PROUDLY from FERRIS Tx (600) I’m really a hidden gem from a Small town.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I truly believe what sets me apart from other braiders is, I stay in my own lane . I do what I want to do, I don’t have to copy or do what other braiders are doing. I specialize in working with kids, which I believe makes me top tier. I connect with my clients to make their life easier. In moving forward I’m most excited about my YouTube channel. I want to showcase to the world how cool my clients are! Follow my YouTube channel @Lifeofabraider. Furthermore, I got where I am today from a lot of hard work and dedication as it definitely was not easy. But as they say, “only the strong survive.” I learn from my clients and work with them to figure out what works for both of us + Building relationships is how I overcame many of my challenges. I have had plenty of long nights and early mornings. But the clientele I have today I pray for . Unlike many people I have reached my first big dream. I’m currently living in that dream. “I asked and he delivered.” I want the world to know BIG Drek, i am a whole vibe. A funny personality and a beautiful soul. I have created a successful business and now I’m going to work on the brand. BBD had reached its limit at the moment but January 2024 I will be accepting client for the last time until further notice. My focus is working on the next generation and that starts with BBDK. We going globe just stay tuned.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to? First we’re going to brunch at the Biscuit bar or Snooze Am ! The food is great. Then we can stroll thru downtown, go to the Playground and some of the other fun places near downtown Dallas. We would also go have some fun at places like Top Golf ( I’d ask a couple other fun places like arcades, Ect ) or one of the many malls. We would definitely go see some of the historic/popular monuments in Dallas. To end the night, we’d turn up at one of the many bars or clubs such as Thrive, Levels, Headquarters, Palms R&B Night.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout? First let me give the biggest shoutout to my clients ! The new ones and the ones that have been with me for years. I appreciate you for sticking with me while I continue to perfected my craft. I want to personally shoutout to my Great assistants (Latrice and Mika). I want to thank my graphic designer (Nakia) for bringing my crazy visions to life. I HAVE to thank my parents Cupcake and Chubby because I know y’all do everything in your power to see me succeed. Last but definitely not least I have to thank my small circle of friends that keep me sane. In a world full of crazy I can count on my Team for a safe place. I TRULY LOVE YALL.
