We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Taylor Strange and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Taylor, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work-life balance has evolved for me over the years… As an eye surgeon with four children and a loving wife, I’ve come to realize that achieving a healthy work-life balance is not only crucial for my own well-being and the success of my practices, but also for the happiness and harmony of my family.

After medical school, I was committed to building my practice and surgery center, and establishing my reputation in the industry. This meant long hours and dedication. I’ve made deliberate efforts to create more space for my family. I’ve learned to delegate responsibilities at work, trust my capable team, and embrace time management strategies. This has allowed me to be more present for my wife and children, for their school events, extracurriculars, family vacations, and quality time together at home.

Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Alliance Vision Institute and Precision Ambulatory Surgery Center, have come a long way on the journey to becoming leading providers of LASIK, Refractive Surgery, and Cataract surgery in Fort Worth. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to providing the highest quality eye care services to our patients. We take pride in being at the forefront of our field, offering the latest state-of-the-art technology to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

One of the things that I’m most excited about is our brand new facility, which includes a state-of-the-art surgery center attached to our clinic. This setup allows our patients to receive comprehensive care in one convenient location, from the initial consultation to surgery and post-operative care. We believe in making the patient experience as seamless and comfortable as possible.

Our journey wasn’t always easy. When I started my private practice, we had fewer than 15 employees, but we were a determined and dedicated team. We learned that regardless of our size, we could accomplish great things through teamwork. This core principle of ‘teamwork makes the dream work’ has been at the heart of our success and growth. As we expanded and developed, our ability to work together effectively became the driving force behind our achievements.

The lessons we’ve learned along the way are numerous. We’ve learned that dedication to continuous learning and staying at the cutting edge of technology is essential in a field as dynamic as ophthalmology. We’ve discovered the importance of providing personalized care, as every patient’s needs are unique. We’ve also learned that building trust and relationships with our patients is very important in our line of work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I would want to make sure they had the best time, and there are some fantastic places and experiences to explore in the area. First, we’d kick off the visit by heading to Dickey’s Arena for a great show. It’s always an exciting place to catch a live performance, and the energy there is contagious.

Later in the week, we’d mix things up by visiting EVO Entertainment, which is always a blast. We’d catch a movie, show off our bowling skills, and indulge in some friendly competition with arcade games. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and have a great time.

And of course, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to experience America’s favorite pastime, so we’d make our way to Globe Life Field to catch a Texas Rangers game. There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere at a baseball game, im a big fan of the team and the all you can eat section!

For dining, we’d probably find ourselves at Chick-fil-A more often than not because, let’s face it, who can resist their chicken nuggets? Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we’d have no choice but to keep going back.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there a person, group, organization, book, etc that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?
I want to shoutout to the individuals who have played a role in my journey as I built my practices. First and foremost, I want to dedicate this shoutout to my incredible wife, Danielle. Her support, encouragement, and understanding have been the driving force behind my success. She’s been my biggest cheerleader, and I couldn’t have achieved what I have without her by my side.

I’d also like to thank to my mom, Kathy, for instilling in me the values of hard work, and perseverance. Her constant encouragement has truly shaped me on my path to success.

I also want to express my appreciation to Kasey, our practice administrator, who has been instrumental in the smooth and efficient operation of our practice at Alliance Vision Institute. Kasey’s dedication, leadership, and organizational skills have been invaluable in ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency for patient care and satisfaction.

Lastly, I’d like to recognize my entire support team at Alliance Vision Institute and Precision Ambulatory Surgery center from my team of doctors, and admin to the customer support teams at the front desk and call center, our surgical couselors, and my awesome technicians and registered nurses. Their hard work and commitment to our mission have made our practices and surgery center trusted and thriving centers for eye care in Fort Worth. I am grateful to work alongside these wonderful individuals as we’ve developed Alliance Vision Institute and Precision Ambulatory Surgery Center.
