We had the good fortune of connecting with Dorien Brown aka Dee Dot and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dee Dot, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success /success of my brand is the fact I truly enjoy what I do. I believe if you enjoy what you do its never work. As a host/emcee/master of ceremony I get satisfaction knowing I help individual enjoy the event. I am an individual that brings good energy to any situation and that is my calling card. If you are in the building I know you felt my energy and it carried the mood.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I go by the name Dee Dot aka Best Damn Host Period. I am a crowd motivator. I bring energy and excitement to any event. If you need a host for your party, wedding, bar mitzvah, concert, showcase, pop up shop, it don’t matter the event or occasion; I am your guy. I been hosting events for more than 20 years. I started in college at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I am actually rebooting my hosting career. during the pandemic I realize hosting was something I truly want to do full time. So I am going really hard to book events of any size, or type. Right now I am not turning anything down but my collar.

Every event I host the honorees are treated as stars. It is their night and it all about them, I am just their hype man. I have hosted events as big as NBA All-Star Weekend, concerts featuring 50 Cents and weddings for my close friends and relatives. The proud moments is when I am greeted by guest and they tell me they enjoyed themselves and I did a good job as the host. I know I am providing a service where I can’t disappoint because they will never get this day again. There is only one 21st bday party, one wedding night, one retirement party and I am hired to create a lasting memory.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
