Hi Dorian, what role has risk played in your life or career?
There are really only two ways to think about risk; either you are a risk taker or a risk saver. Everything in life does not require that you take a risk but those that do take bug risk gets big rewards!

In real estate, risk plays a role in our everyday life. Every conversation that I have with a client is truly a risk assessment. The society put a lot of glitz and glamour around homeownership but when you really dig into somebody personal finances you have to give the the true story of how homeownership looks for them which includes a huge risk assessment on their financials. Is purchasing a home really a good decision for all? How much risk would that person being putting themselves under from purchasing the home? Risk plays a huge role in my career for sure!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Its always a beautiful day in the neighborhood with Dorian Rogers: the mortgage lady in red and always to the rescue. What I specialize in, on the mortgage side of real estate is truly thinking out of the box to make things that other lender s may not think is possible, very possible. Problem solving is my best strength and giving people true action plans for them to obtain homeownership is my second joy as the first is them actually closing on their new home when they may have felt like it was not possible. This is not just making things work but actually providing the clients with true education and knowledge that they will need to be a successful homeowner; not just for the to close but for the years to come after they have lived in their home.

I have worked in many different positions in mortgage which have allowed for me to truly understand how to help make homeownership possible. This is what I truly feels like sets me apart from others. My connection with my clients do not stop at the closing table, its a for ever thing! I am your lender for life! 🙂

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So, I live in Frisco which means that we are doing Everything Frisco TX! A week long trip may be a bit much but for a weekend we would have to start Friday at the the Omni PGA having a great experience at their spa! Saturday after we are well rested we could spend the day at the Farmers Market on Main St then make our way to Legacy West for a great lunch any maybe even music a Legacy Hall. Sunday we would wrap the day up with brunch at Common Table at the Star 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are two people that deserve all of the credit for where I am in my journey and they continue to keep my motivate; Crystal Parkinson and Gracie Perez.

Crystal was my branch manager when I came back into the operations side of the world and help me develop real structure in business. She made sure that the systems were in place so that we were able to thrive and grow.

Gracie is the loan officer I worked for before getting back out there myself. She is still to this day one person that I go to for support today!
