We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Ransom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, what do you attribute your success to?
we have a full female staff, and it is very important for us to know that every client is being treated professionally and that everybody feels comfortable receiving any type of service from any of the ladies!

it’s important for us to share , we do service all walks of life ! No matter who are you identify as. As long as you walked out of lilac feeling better than you did when you came in we overall know that we have completed our mission as a team!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
being a woman tattooer has always been a journey within itself.

Coming from a very man dominated industry I’ve definitely have faced my challenges but overall it has made me a strong woman.

I definitely have hit my obstacles. I definitely have had times where I have felt defeated and I wanted to throw my hands up and quit but overall I do somehow manifest all these bad things that have happened to me in some good way to be a positive light for myself. regardless of all the amazing things that have been, they have followed with all the real crappy things the most beautiful thing about this journey, is lilac itself and all the amazing wonderful women that I’ve been able to call my family first and also employees second all of these ladies give me a new meeting and give me a fresh reminder of why i became a tattoo artust there’s so much talent that is in the world and somewhat is dismissed because it’s behind a woman. I’ve been so shocked by the insane talent that My Novice tattooers are producing !! so proud !!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The most genuine answer I can give to this would just be a breath of fresh air since Covid has happened I’ve been nonstop for the past 2 1/2 years trying to build my business and get it open to open it to the public and now almost being a year into being open I just want to do nothing! haha— The plan is for the besties and me to go to Hawaii for the birthday beginning of 2022 just to chill -downtime is just needed in my life it’s nonstop all of the time!

@anglequartzbeauty her name is Jennifer and she’s been a long time client of mine and she is a wonderful aesthetician and she finally has built her own studio!!

I would love to highlight her because she’s always supported me!
