Meet Dominic Minneti | Bassist of Gator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominic Minneti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominic, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve really loved music for half a decade now and felt I should make my own mark. I looked forward to the excitement of live shows.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I perform in a band part of the rising slam death metal scene. I feel we set ourselves apart by taking a wide influence especially from the underground metal scene of the late 80s through 90s. I’ve gotten here through the support of friends and family as long as my own will power. It wasn’t the easiest but I will say anyone can start a band and any music has the chance of succeeding. I’ve learned some small things like what to say at concerts, and some big things such as keeping it professional. I’d like the world to know that we are eager and willing to succeed with the help of everyone.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Best spots on the city for me gotta be bobs steakhouse, I think that’s a Texas thing but could be misremembering, anyways, it’s good. Also I’m a big fan of Cane Rosso when it comes to pizza and pasta. If I was here as a tourist first a week I’d make sure to go to, deep ellum, the Dallas art museum, bobs steakhouse, and terry blacks bbq. The reunion tower is always a good sight but I think the Bank of America building is more iconic to true dfw citizens.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Some people who really helped me get here have to be my mom and dad first and foremost, they’ve always supported me no matter what. I’d also like to shoutout all of the people I’ve met through the local scene and how far we’ve all come, shoutout to their bands, Odious, Accuser, Red Harvest, Shark Bait, and probably around twenty others in progress.
