We had the good fortune of connecting with Diego Villalobos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diego, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a career in professional wrestling because it’s my ultimate passion. A few years ago, my love for the wrestling business grew to the point where I knew I had to be involved. I vividly remember attending a massive show at AT&T Stadium and feeling an overwhelming urge to be part of this incredible industry. Wrestling has been close to my heart since I was a child, and now being part of it fulfills that lifelong dream. Whether in the ring or behind the scenes, I’m driven to give my best and contribute in any role I can.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Today, I often find myself traveling all over Texas, working to get my name out there—whether I’m wrestling in the ring or helping behind the scenes to make the show happen. It brings me so much joy to be part of something that entertains and connects so many people. Was it easy? Absolutely not! Becoming a professional wrestler has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s also the most rewarding. There’s nothing like walking through that curtain and feeling a connection with every single person in the crowd.

There were times when I was injured or completely drained, and I had to remind myself why I started and how much this journey means to me. Being part of the wrestling world has taught me more than just the ins and outs of the industry—it’s given me invaluable life lessons.

What I want people to know about my story is that it’s always worth taking a shot at something you love or even think you might love, no matter how big or small it seems. Pursuing your passions, even when it’s hard, can lead to the most fulfilling moments of your life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When I’m away from the chaos of the ring, I love to refuel and relax at some of my favorite spots around DFW.

For food, I’d take my best friend to:

-Pluckers Wing Bar (any location) for some of the best wings in town.
-Ricky’s Hot Chicken in Arlington for a spicy kick that always hits the spot.
-Big Kat Burgers in Fort Worth for juicy burgers that never disappoint.

As for hangout spots, I’m all about nature and enjoying the outdoors. These are my go-to places:

-River Legacy Parks for its scenic trails and peaceful vibes.
-Cedar Ridge Preserve for hiking and taking in some incredible views.

This mix of great food and natural beauty is my perfect way to unwind and show someone the best of the area!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge shoutout to DFW All Pro Wrestling Academy and my coach, who have been instrumental in my journey. The academy gave me the foundation, skills, and confidence to step into the wrestling world, and my coach’s mentorship has been invaluable in helping me grow both in and out of the ring. They not only trained me but also provided the guidance and support I needed to get my start in this business. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their dedication and belief in me.
