Hi Dennis, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Roll with the punches. It’s our mantra. Life is going to hit you and try and beat you down. You have to learn to deal with any and every situation. Fall forward.

I like, “roll with the punches” because it incorporates rolling for Jiu-Jitsu and punching for boxing (grappling and striking) for Street Jitsu. It also explains how to go about life in a full circle.

I’m proud of the accomplishments of our coaches, staff and members for helping to grow Street Jitsu to a recognized training center and a ministry for mental health, physical health and friendship in a positive and loving environment.

It wasn’t easy getting to this point and I learned that anything can be accomplished if you work as a team.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Obviously I would bring my best friend to visit my Street Jitsu gyms. Then I would take them to eat at Baby Back Shack for BBQ, Full City Rooster for Coffee, Café Brazil Deep Ellum for breakfast, Lee Harvey’s Dive In for lunch and swimming, Ruins for dinner and The Freeman Jazz Club for the best live music in Dallas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my lord and savior Jesus Christ for always having my back and never giving up on me. Especially when I don’t deserve his love and support. He’s the example of pure and unconditional love! I also want to thank my kids, my mom, my sister, my mentor Bob Ray Sanders, Coach Sina, all of my Coaches and family at Street Jitsu and my family at Ironside Martial Arts and to all of my friends and extended family.
