Hi Daryl Christopher, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business has thought me was to never let a “NO” discourage you! Out of 1000 no’s you sometimes only need one “YES”. Let the No’s prepare and guide you to the Yes. The rejection should be seen as a road map to success!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Distinguished Gentleman Catering Co. we specialize in Southern, and Cajun Cuisines. The thing that separates DG Catering from other southern style catering companies, is the modern style of plating and presentation, combined with a punch of bold flavors, and an exceptional interactive experience. We love to add a “WOW” factor to every event, giving the customers an unforgettable culinary experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Im a huge foodie, so some of my favorite food spots are Kitchen and Cocktails or Kiss for an amazing brunch vibe they had delicious dishes and cocktails. For a night out I’d highly recommend Mr. XO or Moxies for you lounge and speakeasy atmosphere. For a heightened fine dining experience Moxies has some delicious options and an amazing array of cocktails.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother Aleta Pearson deserves a huge round of applause for the culinary knowledge she instilled in me as a growing young man. She’s an excellent southern chef! She was a huge influence in the flavor profiles and southern/ Cajun cuisines that I love to create. She has always cooked with love, and that love for cooking shows in the taste, look and smell of all of our signature dishes.
