We had the good fortune of connecting with Darre’el Caldwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Darre’el, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Being Intentional about having gratitude. Carving time to get comfortable to adapting to changes . I’ve learned to remain a student and measure education vs execution output.
What should our readers know about your business?
PeerPort Media was founded on the principles of legacy, communication, gratitude, and faith. We believe that it takes an authentic amount of grit and an incredible amount of focus to sustain our purpose and execute well.
We are an all-inclusive media agency that gives companies, businesses, and individuals the ability to tell their story in excellence. Our company uses top quality camera, audio, and lighting to create industry standard media and film.
We not only tell the stories of amazing people and cultures, but we provide video solutions to business problems. We got to where we are today by learning to take bigger risks, celebrating the wins and losses, seeking mentorship, and pacing ourselves instead of running other people’s races.
There are many companies that we have had the pleasure of working with, and even other media agencies that we’ve had the opportunity to partner with. We wholeheartedly believe that a huge part of our growing success is being able to collaborate with, learn from, and enhance who we’re with.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I want to have a great experience at a restaurant, I love to visit Coco Shrimp in the Historic Southside District, Burnin Mouth Nashville Hot Chicken near Magnolia District, and Salsa Limon in Magnolia District as well.
I love to catch a good movie with friends and family at the AMC Theater in downtown Fort Worth. We love parking at the top of the Throckmorton Parking Lot and being able to view the entire city from the rooftop.
To go on a fun trip and make some good memories, I’d love taking friends to a good Axe Throwing company! I recommend Stumpy’s Hatchet House Fort Worth.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my grandfather and uncle for keeping storytelling and vision alive in me as a child.
I want to shout out Joshua Rivera for exchanging not just a camera, but a chance to nourish something bigger.
Aiden Franklin — you give, mentor, and lead with excellence. Your faith is like fire.
Johnathan Franco — thank you for taking the opportunity to go on this journey and building legacy.
And last but not least, I’d love to honor God and my wife. We can’t do anything worthwhile without the guidance of God.
