We had the good fortune of connecting with Darlisa Diltz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darlisa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my faith. This has been the one thing I can rely on to get me from one stage in the process to another. There were/are several times where I wasn’t sure I was on the right path, my prayers and faith in God has kept me on the path.

What should our readers know about your business?
The North Texas Entrepreneur Education and Training Center is a starting point for Entrepreneur lifestyle seekers to come, learn, and and be exposed to the realities of business ownership, without making a lofty investment into something that will develop into nothing. We are a Business Resource Center with a focus on Entrepreneur education and ecosystem building. Through our pipeline of partners, stakeholders, and staff, we provide a safety net for beginner Entrepreneurs to grow and fail shamelessly in an environment of inclusion, innovation and focused Entrepreneurial training.

What Do We Offer at the North Texas Entrepreneur Education and Training Center:
– An Entrepreneur Development Program unique to its kind
– Pairing and connecting of resources and tools that will assist with business growth and development
- Dedicated workshops, training’s and classes to increase business knowledge and productivity
– Access to a flexible work space and membership options for pre-venture and startup Entrepreneurs
– An inclusive “community” for Entrepreneurs and Professionals to plug into the startup ecosystem

What sets me a part from other Business Service Organizations is that we focus on Ecosystem building and inclusion. I believe that Entrepreneurship should be accessible all those willing to put in the work. I started my company to be an advocate for the underserviced, underserved and minority communities. At that time, there was not many organizations educating startup on effective strategies to not only start but to be successful.

I am most proud and excited about the partnerships and growth my company has experienced. We are the 1st and only Black owned, Woman owned privately owned business service organization in the DFW Metroplex. In the final quarter of 2020, we initiated the groundwork to open the 1st flexible workspace for aspiring and startup entrepreneurs in North Richland Hills.

I got where I am today in business with lots of prayer, building solid relationships and lots of community engagement and volunteering. It has definitely been a tough process. I wanted to throw in the towel on several occasions, but was often reminded of the reason I started the business in the first place. I try to keep myself surrounded by like minded people and positive influencers that will get me back on track when I start to feel defeated.

I have learned several lessons along the way. I have learned that working collaboratively is much better than working independently. I have learned that it is ok to fail as long as you dont give up. Being able to meet and work with so many budding Entrepreneurs has taught me to appreciate every step in the process. We all have to go through challenges but what matters most is how we come out of them.

I want the world to know that we are not just a typical company stating that we “help small businesses”. We truly believe in building and developing a community where Entrepreneurship is accessible to all. Not just based on social economic status or how much money you have. I started my company with my own funds to be the change I wanted to see within the Entrepreneur community. We are not sponsored, funded or supported by any financial institution, and have worked extremely hard to get to a point of cashflow and growth within the company.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for the week, we would most definitely hit up some of the best restaurants within the metroplex. Each day I would take them to a different one so they could get a good mix of the Texas flavor. We would absolutely have to visit the Fort Worth Rodeo so they could see the live cattle show and the western gun fight skit. On another day, we would take a visit to see all of the stadiums in the metroplex to include Cowboy and American Airlines Stadiums. On a third day, we would take a visit to some of the museums and historical sites. We would also take a day to rest and relax. I would cook for them and cater to them so they would not have to worry about a thing. I would make sure they were able to see any of the sites they were interested in as well as visit the fun places like Ripley’s believe it or not.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my dear friend and industry sister Deidra Kindred for supporting me along this journey and always being there when I need her most.
