Meet Danielle Sanders | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
To be completely honest, there was no grand plan behind this—seriously! I know it might sound a little unusual, but the egg roll business started completely by accident. One day, I made collard green egg rolls for my husband and told him I had something new for him to try when he got home from work.
Well… 2 egg rolls turned into 4, 4 turned into 6—and before we knew it, he had eaten 8 of them! He told me they were so addictive and said, “You can sell this s***” My response? “I’m going to sell this s***!” LOL
And just like that, Getcha Roll On was born. The rest is history! Any and everything you can make for dinner at home we stuff it in an egg roll. You’d be amazed at how delicious the results are!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What makes us truly stand out is our one-of-a-kind dish—something no one else offers or can replicate. We cook for our Rollies the same way we cook for our family: with love, care, and intention. Every dish is made with pride and attention to detail. If it’s not something we’d eat ourselves, we won’t serve it. Everything we create comes straight from the heart. The creating is never ending.
One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing our customers share their experiences in reviews, especially on camera. That kind of support means the world to us—it shows we’re on the right path, moving toward even greater things. To see them enjoy our delicious meals in real time brings us so much joy. I’m also incredibly proud of how this business, which started as a happy accident, has grown into something beyond what I ever imagined.
My journey began back in elementary school and continued through middle and high school. With each step, my entrepreneurial spirit grew stronger. In elementary, I sold pixie sticks for 10 cents each—110 in a bag that only cost $1. Realizing I could turn $1 into $10 lit a fire in me. In middle school, I sold blow pops, Mexican candies, and caramel apple suckers. Then came high school, where I sold candy bars, hot link sandwiches, and juices. Everyone would be waiting for me to walk through the doors with their dollars ready. LOL! I was making real money, and I quickly realized I had a gift for sales. That drive to hustle and build something of my own never left me. I’ve always wanted to create something that’s mine. Never in a million years did I think it would be a restaurant.
Along the way, I’ve learned that you can’t please everyone—and that’s okay. Embrace the good and the bad, and let both fuel your growth. Every challenge is just another step toward success.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would most definetly take my friend to Perry’s Steakhouse. They are definetly one of my faves and Terry Black’s BBQ.
To hang out I would take them to Luxx Hookah Lounge. The vibes there is unmatched. The DJ is great!
For drink we would go to The Daquiri Shoppe in Grand Prairie. The food, drinks, and music is a vibe there as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I have to give the biggest shoutout to my amazing husband, Kyle Sanders. Without him, none of this would have even crossed my mind, let alone become a reality. He constantly motivates me, supports every idea I come up with, and has made this entire journey feel effortless. We share a creative energy that keeps us moving forward. And let’s not forget—Kyle is still working full-time as a truck driver. The moment he clocks out, he switches gears into owner mode for Getcha Roll On. Even while on the clock he’s in Getcha Roll On mode. His dedication and passion for this business are truly unmatched.
Next, I want to thank my incredible parents, Norman Reynolds and Yolanda Wilson. For our 10-year wedding anniversary, they gave us the most meaningful gift—an investment in our ghost kitchen. Their unwavering support means the world to us. They’ve poured their time, energy, and resources into this dream, and we’re endlessly thankful and blessed to have them as our biggest cheerleaders.
A special thank you to my Maw Maw and my mom for passing down their amazing cooking skills. They taught me how to make some of the delicious meals we now stuff into every egg roll. Their recipes and flavors are the heart of our kitchen, and their influence is in every bite we serve.
Last but absolutely not least—our Getcha Roll On team! To our daughter Kyla Sanders, our niece Kiara Reynolds, and our sister Myriah Wilson—you are the engine that keeps this business running. You’re the oil in the machine, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for your dedication, for always showing up, and for handling a million tasks with love, strength, and zero complaints. We are so grateful for everything you do.
