We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Mercado and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Have a voice. Give the Hispanic Demographic something different that works in the past, like recap, but with my own style.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Without any experience and just for love of the sports, Edwin “Kako” Vazquez and Geoffrey Gonzalez give the opportunity to write about MLB in 1800beisbol.com in 2006. After write in severals websites and complete my Bachelor Degree in Journalism, El Clutch Deportivo.com just born in 2012. Since July 24 of 2012 until now, I been covering mayor events like WrestleMania, NBA Finals.UFC205, Mayor Boxing Fights, MLB World Series, Playoffs, and much more. Without any budget or any dream or any plan, I was able to create a Media Sports Outlet that get credentials from MLB and NBA every season. Only with my wife Jessenia DeJesus help and couples of friends like Pedro Figueroa, we flight, drive and deliver great content for the Website, YouTube channel and Social Media.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
That easy. Eat in Hard Eights and Texas Roadhouse. Going to see the Mavs in the American Airlines Center. Going to see the Rangers and take a photo with Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez in the Globe Life Field. Then we can forget to eat a pizza in Pudge place inside the Texas live. We need to drive to OKC to play some money in the WinStar Casino. After eat some brisket in Bucee’s with need to visit the San Antonio Riverwalk and the Alamo. In the way back, another stop in Bucee’s for replenishment. If we still have time let’s go to Six Flags and enjoy couple of ride before finished the date eating great food in Hurtado.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentor Tony Menendez. Tony since day one help me to create El Clutch Deportivo and became a big part of the success. Tony is veteran Sports Journalist who helped me to open doors with MLB.
