We had the good fortune of connecting with D. ELLI$ Mr. Entertainment! and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi D., maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea came, to me for my love of Entertainment. I was inspired by different stars I saw on tv. It’s always been a dream of mine. With me being a Comic, Music Artist, Actor, Radio Personality and Host. God has blessed me, with more than one gift. Which I’m very eager to show the world, what I have to offer.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The path to where I got to, wasn’t always easy. I come from a small town called Texarkana, Arkansas! (Google it)! Lol! I knew at an early age, i wanted more, than what was offered to me. I started off in music, years late, it was stand up, after getting fired from 7 to 8 jobs! Lol! I moved to Dallas, was homeless for a while. But kept my faith! It was a struggle, but made me, who I am today. I also have Movies, that are currently out, Lady Luck part one which I also Co Produced and have two songs in the movie, Hatin On Me and 8 Seconds. Lady Luck 2 and Lawn Boy are my two other films. I’ve learned if you treat people, the way you wanna be treated, blessings come back full circle. I want the world to know, if you book me for a show, you get a Thousand percent every single time! Wether it be 10 or 10 thousand!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh my! I am a foodie! So we would definitely go eat! We would start off at Bar Ranch Steakhouse in Plano, Tx. The first night, Day two I would cook breakfast and lunch myself. Later we at Chamberlains in Addison for Appetizers and Cigars, Day 3 it is Sushi time at Kaizon in Rowlett, Tx., Day 4 drinks at TK’s in Addison, Tx. Friday we top it with a concert or comedy show, after we eat at Eddie V’s in Plano, Tx.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God 1st, My Beautiful Wife Misti Ellis, my wonderful dad Nathaniel Ellis that passed Christmas 2023, my grandmother that raised me, passed in 1995 (Lizzie Mae Lewis). And anyone, who helped me along my journey to get to where i am today! Extremely Grateful! 🙏🏿
