We had the good fortune of connecting with Creator Jewels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Creator Jewels, why did you pursue a creative career?
Music and entertainment fills me with genuine joy.

Before I got into my creative career full time I was in business and marketing as a full time freelancer. When I wanted to switch over one of my previous clients told me I would never be as successful as I wanted to be if I choose to leave.

I already feel 1000000x more successful. Money was never my goal. Now being able to pay my bills has to happen but changing my direction has allowed me to think how I can do that while doing what I love.

I’m totally aware of that and I do believe I will have more than enough money to fund my charities, throw galas, pay off all my debt, create the visions in my head and so on but right now I’m so content.

There is no overwhelming stress or burden of other people problems. I’m just as happy as I can be living simply.

Music and entertainment give me that freedom I’m looking for.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My honesty, relentlessness, and positive attitude is what gains me recognition from my peers.

I’m no different than anyone else honestly. These are just the life skills that have gotten me the farthest and the ones that I continue to invest in.

It’s not been easy. The hardest part was I’ve lost some really good friends along the way. Not to say that those friendships won’t come back around but it really hurts when there are creative differences or things out of your control. I wish I could change what happened but I just can’t. Dealing with the loss of someone you hold dear to you, that’s my biggest struggle. It’s like actual death. And I think it should be honored as such.

I’d love for people to see me as a 360 person. Will Smith on his best day and his worst day.

I am not perfect and I never will be. And I hope that I can inspire people that perfection is overrated.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d Visit the Dallas Burroughs: Downtown
Bishop Arts
Deep Ellum
Design District

Once we got there we would explore and wander. Grab a little lunch maybe a cocktail or espresso and a little bit of shopping of course.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Solomon Wolf.

Thank you my love for teaching me it doesn’t all have to happen right now. That the in between moments are just as magical as the arrival points.

Spending life with you makes life worth living.
