We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Kearney, CPSM and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Each and every CKearney Consulting (CKC) team member is behind our success, without them the company would not exist as it does today. Every person plays a vital role in providing the best quality service to our clients while making the firm run smoothly and efficiently. The support we provide one another is what fuels our success. Early on in our company history, we read Simon Sinek’s book Find Your Why (https://simonsinek.com/product/find-your-why) and identified CKC’s purpose. We are in business to provide our clients the ability to have the work lifestyle they desire; a work life free from the stress of a dysfunctional or underutilized CRM system, one that allows our clients the freedom to enjoy the success when client relationship management (CRM) is done right. Similarly, CKC also exists to provide our team members the ability to live their desired lifestyle.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I briefly shared my story in the previous VoyageDallas article (http://voyagedallas.com/interview/meet-courtney-kearney-of-ckearney-consulting-llc), explaining how my career started and how I got to where I am today. For this “shoutout series” I’d like to share what sets our firm apart from other consulting firms. As mentioned before, the CKC team is truly a family. We are close-knit, support one another and encourage each other to live our best lives. I love that currently all our team members are working moms. We are able to remain committed to our immediate families but not at the cost of our careers. The flexibility we’re able to enjoy allows us to have the balance we each desire. That means the world to me and makes it all worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Anyone visiting DFW must visit the Stockyards in downtown Fort Worth and Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas. Ride to the Stockyards in style and take a vintage train from Grapevine into downtown Fort Worth. The Cotton Belt Route Excursion is a must for all ages, but be sure to keep an eye out for greedy outlaws that might hijack the train causing you to help railroad detectives solve the mystery of who robbed the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. After departing the train, catch one of the twice-daily cattle drives by the Fort Worth Herd as the longhorns make their way down Exchange Avenue. Then venture to downtown Dallas to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza and check out the Sixth Floor Museum. Walk down to the Dallas World Aquarium and enjoy an indoor rainforest. Head under the freeway to the Perot Museum before continuing to the American Airlines Center to take in a hockey game. After the Dallas Stars win, head over to Reunion Tower to have a celebratory drink while experiencing the panoramic view.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In addition to my amazing team members, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that I owe a significant amount of my success to my wonderful husband and two incredible daughters. My family is what drives me to work so hard every day and to strive for excellence, without them I wouldn’t have started CKearney Consulting. When I found myself without a job in 2015 and interviewing with different firms, it was my family that encouraged me to take the leap to start my own business. I did it to spend time with my kids while they’re young, to be present while they grow up and to have the freedom to control my own schedule and destiny. It’s the best decision I have ever made. I’m daily thankful for their encouragement and confidence in me.
