We had the good fortune of connecting with Cory Cross and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cory, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I really never thought of it as starting a business. I’ve always known I wanted to play music for a living, and along the way I realized the process of managing and promoting and booking myself all resembles the way a more typical business operates

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always known I wanted to play music for a living. To start, I just started going to shows and meeting musicians. From there I developed relationships with local venues and started booking my own shows, as well as playing in other bands. It’s been difficult at times, but always rewarding. When I first started social media wasn’t as big as it is now. This has brought the aspect of promotion and pr to my career, something I’ve had to learn along the way. But it’s always brought the ability to more easily connect with people all over the world
