Meet Cody Mobley | Hair Stylist and Colorist.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Mobley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The Beauty industry is a field that’s ever changing. One that’s Constantly evolving and offering a limitless supply of lessons. My journey as a stylist and colorist has taught me an quite a lot.

When Trying to determine the most important lesson I’ve Been taught wasn’t easy to choose. Much of what I have learned from cosmetology is important. The most important thing my career has taught though, is the power/ influence we have. A hairdresser has the ability to tear your self image apart or show how beautiful you are.

When a client sits in my chair they let the self be vulnerable choice. Revealing what’s truly under the bright exterior shell we hid behind. I know the insecurities, flaws, and ages we all struggle to camouflage. People will confide in me things they wouldn’t tell their shrink. They Invite me in to their private lives they covet from the public.

I’m honored and grateful to help conjure heart filling memories. Such as a breathtaking bride at her wedding. Maybe your only daughters prom night, or the reinvention of woman that recently divorced. My clients allow me to create their vanity. I design the statement their look and appearance visually say. I aid in the reinvention of oneself. I bring to life the fairytale she wants to be. Or simply stop time from walking across face. So when you sit in my chair, know I strive to see my clients face when it lights up all because they love the reflection looking back at them in the mirror.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What makes me unlike the rest is my eye for design and aesthetic paired with my ability to visualize my clients Desired version of themselves, and taking what they have and magically nourish, Individually tailor their hair and style into the desired. While adjusting in areas I notice will give better function, flow, and easier upkeep. My hair cuts and colors are designed and used only for that client. I specialize in Creative Color, High-end highlights/ blonding. and precision cutting methods. I agree if end result is actually attainable and never risk compromising the integrity of the hair to achieve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, of course start them off with some of art attractions and museums. Must dine at bobs, melting pot, magic time machine, and dicks. The stock yards depending of the time of year. Also of course got to shown them the strip and exciting night life.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I shine a little light on all my amazing friends, family members and some of their friends that have shown support and that suffered me using them as practice/ test subjects.
