Meet Clara Anh Nguyen | Broker & CEO of Canco Real Estate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Clara Anh Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Clara Anh, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As the CEO and Broker at Canco Real Estate Brokerage, I decided to start my boutique brokerage to change how real estate operations work. My goal was to use modern digital marketing, social media and AI-powered CRM tools to help my team of agents thrive.
I noticed how technology was becoming more important in real estate while working as a solo agent. This led me to break away from traditional methods and embrace new ways of working. Starting my own brokerage allowed me to build the business based on my own vision. In the first year, we significantly increased our production, and I mentored three new agents who went on to earn substantial income.
My main mission is to create a brokerage that not only succeeds in a fast-paced market but also builds lasting relationships with clients. By focusing on innovation, fostering talent, and developing strong connections, I aim to grow a network of clients who will refer us for years to come.
Although 74% of realtors quit their jobs in 2024, we proudly were part of the 0.14% of realtors who closed 50+ transactions last year.
What should our readers know about your business?
About My Business:
I’m Clara Anh Nguyen, CEO and Broker at Canco Real Estate Brokerage. I decided to start my boutique brokerage to change how real estate operations work. My goal was to use modern digital marketing and AI-powered CRM tools to help my team of agents thrive.

The Challenges:
In 2024, I embarked on a wonderful journey with a long vacation in Vietnam, recharging energies due to first trimester of my pregnancy before returning to work in March. Although I missed out on the first quarter and struggled to focus during my time away due to the opposite time zone, I quickly regrouped upon my return.
In June, I joyously welcomed my newborn son into the world. This blessed event brought with it two months of adjusting to the new demands of parenthood, leading to lower productivity and energy as I navigated the challenges of sleep deprivation and caring for my little one.
Despite these challenges, I dedicated myself to mentoring and training three brand new agents who flourished under my guidance, showcasing their potential and talents. After overcoming the initial postpartum period, I was able to fully immerse myself in work while maintaining a balanced life.
When I first came to the US 10+ years ago, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine becoming the owner and CEO of a real estate brokerage in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. My journey hasn’t been easy— As an international student, I faced countless challenges, including the struggle to adapt to a new culture, a new land, and the heartbreak of a failed restaurant venture in Dallas.
But I refused to give up.
Real estate became my new passion, allowing me to turn my desire to help others into a thriving career. And it was the best decision I ever made! Today, I’m not only an owner of several homes but also the proud owner of my brokerage.
Achievements & Visions:
Among the highlights of the year were two significant events that I hosted:
In September, 2024 I organized a grand celebration for the mid-autumn festival, giving away 1000 gifts to the community.
In December, 2024 I expressed my gratitude towards my clients, agents, and business partners with a special appreciation event, where nearly $18,000 was invested to spread joy and appreciation among those around me.
I extend my deepest thanks to our valuable clients, dedicated agents, and supportive business partners for their unwavering support in our shared journey of ~$17 million in sales volume and proudly served 52 families last year.
Looking ahead to 2025, my goal is to double our sales numbers of last year. I am eager and excited for the prosperous year ahead and am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that await us.
Endnotes:
I want to share my story to inspire others to chase their dreams without giving up. Whether through sharing stories, mentoring, or offering support, I’m here to help others reach their full potential.
If you’re a realtor or want to become one in DFW, let’s chat!
Let’s keep pushing ourselves, supporting each other, and aiming for greatness. Together, let’s make our dreams come true! ✨
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had just one day to show my best friend the best of Fort Worth, we will start the day with a scenic ride on the Forest Park Miniature Trains—a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the city’s beauty. After that, we can take a short hike to Airfield Falls Trailhead and Conservation Park to see the gorgeous waterfall and get some fresh air.
We then can head over to La Gran Plaza for authentic food, live entertainment, and unique shopping, or go explore the Cowgirl Museum, celebrating the awesome women of the West. We will wrap up with drinks at Dirty Laundry, a hidden speakeasy-style bar with an incredible vibe.
A perfect mix of adventure, culture, and fun schedule will be the go-to option to spend the whole day with my friends and loved ones.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
