We had the good fortune of connecting with CJ Cannon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CJ, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When dealing with risk you have to get over the fear of the unknown, and go 110%. When we push ourselves thats when we learn from the wins and losses to better our life/career. Taking risks has played a huge part in my career when I decided to move to Denver for a year for an internship which allowed me to step out of my comfort zone to be able to build those connections.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So I’m a content creator and what sets me apart from everybody else is that I mainly work with schools or various athletes to help build their brand with different marketing tactics like photos/videos and social media presence to help my clients build a fan base. I am most proud about the growth and consistency of the brand. I believe I get better day by day. It wasn’t easy at first, but the most challenging part was building a fan base and showing everybody that this isn’t just a hobby and that I am making a career out of it. What I learned the most is just keep going, keep posting, keep creating, and keep being myself and the rest will follow. What I would like the world to know about my brand is that I’m Iconic and I want everybody to have a chance to get an Iconic experience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we gotta go to La Ventana in downtown, then gotta take em out to East Texas to get some real BBQ, shoot some skeet, play corn hole and get that good East Texas hospitality. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s a lot of people I want to give a shout-out too. First GOD, my Grandparents, Mom, my brother T and my sister Lawren. Also the Meyers family (Lauren,Mr/Mrs Meyers) as well as the Brannon family (April/Pookie,KK). I also want to shoutout the Denver Family (Coach Billups and Throne) and so many more that all played apart in my process.
