Meet Christiana Moore | Social Media Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christiana Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christiana, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
That being an entrepreneur in any capacity is one of the most mentally taxing things you can take on. Your success, your very livelihood is 100% dependent upon what you do day after day. There’s no security of the company doing well so you really have to be self starter and be disciplined. The beauty is though, that the sky is the limit. No one can tell you no. The only no’s that matter are the ones that you tell yourself.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey to becoming an influencer with a large platform definitely wasn’t an easy one. I 100% had to be flexible and open to evolving into the spaces where my representation was needed most. I’m a 90’s baby who grew up in small town Kansas during a time where the beauty standard was literally the opposite of me. Needless to say I grew up very insecure about my body. As adult I developed a love for makeup and started to create makeup content. That TANKED lol. But as people started to ask me about my outfits I began to see my purpose. A year or so later during the pandemic I was on TikTok like everyone when a fellow curvy girl asked me if I had any ideas for something she could wear on a first date. That was my lightbulb moment. And thus, my first viral series ‘What I Would Wear As a Curvy Woman” was born. From there my career took off. What I realize now in hindsight is that there was a void in the industry that I was filling. That’s what I believe set me apart. My existence reminds the world that curvy women can be funny, and smart, and beautiful, even trendy! And reminds women that we don’t have to fit into the mold the world created for us.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a Dallas transplant I know that I haven’t checked out many of the cities hidden gems. But for fun I would definitely take them to Activate Games, Sandbox VR, and any R&B night being hosted by Moore In The City. Komodo is one of my favorite lively yet upscale dinner spots. As is Carbone and Bottled in Bond, The Finch has the BEST espresso martini so I would definitely have to pop in for lunch. And for me the best place to Sunday Funday is Nowhere in Deep Ellum. Honestly any night life event hosted by Upper Echelon is sure to be a time!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents are my biggest inspirations. Everything that I know about working hard, never giving up, staying committed to the plan and seeing the vision through I learned from my dad. Everything I know about being good to people, never compromising my character, and keeping integrity I learned from my mom. Together those traits made me the woman who wasn’t afraid to take up space in an industry where people didn’t look like me.
