We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can.” – John Wesley John Wesley’s quote is one that I try to read every day as I have a copy printed on my desk. It is a constant reminder of my “Why” and it creates a driving force behind my enthusiastic passion for precision and execution on behalf of my clients. It can serve as morning motivation, a mid-day pick me up, and as a grading scale at the end of the day to determine our “value”. When the stresses of business and life seem overwhelming, it is also a reminder that no matter what you are going through there are still others who need help more than you.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My attention to detail and passion for high-level customer experience was ingrained in me during my time with Houston’s Restaurants as their consistency and quality is unsurpassed and is non-negotiable at every level. To get where we are business-wise today was a lot of structured hard work. I am very routine-oriented and will stop at nothing to make sure that our clients are having the best home-buying experience possible. I am up at 4:45 am every morning to start my day and am very structured from that point on. I go by the premise that there is no such thing as “downtime.” I have learned over time that you can’t be everything to everyone but must continue to try to be the best you that you can be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Given that we’ve been sheltering in place since March, I’ve embraced the value of quality friendships. I have learned that rich conversations with an old friend are far more valuable than any experience. Given this, I would simply have them over to my home and spend time catching up, visiting, and enjoying the moment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Kay Wilkinson, our Regional Vice Presiden at Caliber Home Loans. I’ve always had in my heart an out-of-box high-level customer experience methodology towards my clients. Kay really took an unpolished maverick and put a nice shine on it and I really have her to thank for the finesse for which I practice my craft day in and day out. In addition, my wife Jessica for always being the yin to my yang and giving me the balance and grounding I’ve needed when my excitement would often times try to take me in a different direction.
